I got this far (i know it need some more work) but im wondering how to cover up the center area. it goes from dark snow to lighter snow. is ther any thing i can do?
Not very complex but my first experiments ^
0/10
First one has height problems, blending problems, mass sprites... This is not blended... where is the effort?
0/10
The second one can be done with absolutely zero sprites, I have no idea why you would want to place, at least 25 sprites like that...
You need to learn what has already been done with terrain. Starting from scratch is very lame.
+Wooden, the second can be done with isom.
1) 1/10 - Very crappily done. Im not trying to be mean, but there IS no point of puting a ramp, then high terrain, then a ramp (why not just make an extended ramp?)
2) 0/10 - Incase you havent noticed we can do that with a single doad...
1/10 = I have nothing to say
1/10 = Yet again nothing.

Thats not really cristizism, more like an insult.
Anyways... lay off the sprites a bit. Extended terrain isn't a walk in the park, you gotta be patient with it and search for blends.hash.... thats my first trys with SCMdraft..... first time i had ever used sprites.
sorry if im not up to your standards.

Looking at them from another angle.
The sprite placement in the first image could have been better, as I notice those trees do not have bottoms and just sort of block off at the bottom.
The second picture is more difficult to see, but the rock sprites on either side of the ramp look like they might be soso. But again it is too small to say for certain.
Please try again.
Thanks Rantent that was actually helpful

Nobody needs to hear that they just suck. Say a reason or at least make a point.
If you don't need sprites, don't use them.
Also, at least try to blend the cliffs. It might not turn out perfect, but it'll probably look better than what you've got.
ADD: I didn't notice this before, but the center of your top cliff part is mirrored. Avoid mirrors at all costs. Please.
u guys are just down right rude

I'm not trying to be rude, but yes, it does look bad.
Nice. The second one was just an ISOM terraining with added sprites? Not much, but looked cool (5/10).
The first one was kind of cool, but it looked unnatural and unbalanced (6/10). Anyway keep trying. The more you practice, the better you'll become
thankyou for making me want to make some terrain to feel/know that i can do better, even without ever doing it before.
