Neo World Timeline Diplomacy

Timespan

- 1800AD to Present and future

Number of players
- Humans: 6
- Computers: 2

Unique Features
- Technology tree covering tech from 1800 to the present and more
- Adaptable religions
- Adaptable Governments
- Historical Rebellions and conflicts

Setting the immersion
- The year is 1800. Most of the Western World has entered the Industrial Age. Now with their new advancement a global race for territory and technology occurs. Or will it? You and your fellow diplomats decide as you take control of several important countries of the time, including but not limited to the United States, Great Britain, China, Japan, and the African Lake Kingdoms!

Player Interface
- The player commands a nation of his or her choice. The player then leads the nation through religious, government, militaristic, and social problems. All of this while researching technology to assist him or her with any expansion or defense needs of the nation.

Learning Curve and Guidance
- Medium learning curve. The game is detailed, which creates some complexity, but the game can be understood fully after playing for at most 10 minutes.
- The most confusing aspect of the map may be the tech tree, which must be researched from left to right, in order, with buildings in the middle of the map being researched above the Gateways WHEN YOU REACH THE BUILDING IN THE TECH TREE ORDER. Not before or after. China, Lake Kingdoms, and Japan must research Industrial Revolution before continuing with the tech tree. The amount of Civs needed to research any tech is either said on the tech itself, or said on the minerals behind it. All Civs are made by building a Zealot in the Gateways.
- Guidance is given in the mission briefing, mission objectives, and a short 2 minute long tutorial plays at the beginning of every game.

What's this map have to offer that other Diplos don't?
- Very few world wide scale diplomacies exist, and of those that do, none of them go into such detail or provide as many features as this one.

Where can I download it!?

Meh. You need more information, like what your systems do. This isn't really that original, since it's really basing off an old map that people tend to noob with, with only a couple of extra features.

I don't believe this is worth my time, no matter how much more qualitatic you made this more than the original Diplomacy. For one thing, it's really just massing and killing.

So essentially... you dislike all diplomacies? That's basically what you're saying, since essentially, all diplomacies are "Massing and killing." And therefore, you don't dislike anything specific about this map (since you apparently didn't even try it), you're simply discrediting it due to a discrimination? Well, free internet.

Good diplomacies are NOT "massing and killing". Thats what evolves and madness maps are for.

Yes, pretty much they are. How many times have you found two allied players mass you with tanks and hydras?

Exactly.

Good Diplomacies aren't massing... right, and which diplomacy are you citing for this? Essentially, from all the diplomacies I've seen, the basics of it is mass units and deploy them with some tactics to geography. Rarely does anything else matter as much as production and upgrading. *Remember, we're talking about diplomacies here, not historical recreation maps.*

Though, if you ask me, with other elements in this game, you require much more than just "massing" to win. Massing musketmen against... Early Tanks won't win you a game, even if you're massing 30 to 5.

There's a reason I said GOOD diplomacies. They are rare, but they exist.

An example being? I want to know what you think good is...

Does Civilization count as a diplomacy? It should. Even though it is long its much better for that "massing problem" happy.gif

Civilization =/= Diplomacy

Diplomacy is supposed to be a mix of conditional base development and tactical warfare. I have to say as long as a person applies him/herself, he/she can make a diplomacy with good quality gameplay and balanced units.
All I can really say is that poorly made "Diplomacy" maps, tend to fall out of the catagory... Maybe land into Melee or Blood or something of the like.
