I had the exact same problem. I tried to upload my new melee map and I got the same error: "The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error."

It's a simple CHMOD problem --- the PHP script does't have the permission to access the uploads directory. It seems that whenever the matinence happened, the permissions on the folder changed.

All that's left is for someone with FTP access to CHMOD it back.

Recently, I've been unable to attach a .zip file...it was 2.5 mb, and I had the space--or is that just too big for an attachment?

did you give you an error message? cause that'd be the result of what DTBK said. otherwise, i dunno.

No, it's not too big... and I had the same problem. I even tried with a smaller attachment, but it wouldn't let me upload that one either.

Apparently a nice old bug that prevents me from editing.... a LOT of things through FTP has resurfaced. I have to contact the host. :/

...When do you expect this error to be fixed, or is it a permanent problem?

Isolatedpurity opened up a support ticket with the server a couple of days ago. Nobody around there seems to be responsing, so this might take a while.

ADDITION:
I opened up my own support ticket because I can't view isolated's. Hopefully they'll start listening to us. tongue.gif

ADDITION:
The problem is finally fixed, I can again edit stuff. The problem is, uploads IS CHMODed to 777 and it still doesn't work. I'll have to take a look at the code.
