problems

I've played your map a couple times, and have found a couple problems with it

The upgrades/mineral rewards are unbalanced; to simply defend against an ultralisk I need 40 armor, however to get to 40 armor, I would have to spend so many minerals, the +20 from the 4 dark templars received at level up I get becomes useless.

Also, if you switch on autocast, and move the defiler to help, your view is stuck on the help section, your only options at this point are to hope you hotkeyed the defiler and move it on the minimap.

Thus it would be nearly impossible to kill the firebats!

[edit]

i got bored and decided to find out how much mins it takes to upgrade to 40 (using a formula)

level 1 = 5 + 0
level 2 = 5 + 1
level 3 = 5 + 2
in general, to upgrade you need 5 + (n-1) minerals where n = level of upgrade

to go from level 1 to 3 requires
5+0 + 5+1 + 5+2 = 18 minerals
level 1-4 =
5+0 + 5+1 + 5+2 + 5+3 = 26
level 1-5 =
5+0 + 5+1 + 5+2 + 5+3 + 5+4 = 35

so...
in general you need
[10 + (n-1)]*(n/2) minerals to upgrade

so for level 40..
[10 + (40-1)]*(40/2) = (10+39)*20 = 49*20 = 980 minerals o_O

I actually like the map a lot, the auto cast makes things really convenient, theres not very much plot to the story though. I played with someone online and we just kept upgrading until we got about 15 attack each, then bought a bunch of healing potions and defeated the first 3 minibosses. After that, we got camp/slaughtered by the firebats.

I got bored sitting in front of the computer with nothing to do, so I decided to find a formula to figure out how many minerals it would take to upgrade to level 40 armor.

kk, I'll add that to problems list.
Once it reaches a certain problem #
I'll make a new ver.

But please tell me, if you enjoyed the game or not.
That to me, is the most important.
A Gamemakers joy, is when his game is being enjoyed.

Thank you for feedback.

Quick Review for ya:
( Ya i know alot of minus but this is my opinion on what can be improved or fixed)

+ Nice Spells for some classes.
- XP, very annoying collect so much with limited units, trying using custom and making monsters abit more, like ling 1, hydra around 3 and ultralisk uh 5ish maybe.
- Boss fights are sometimes abit easy.
- Should add shared XP on boss fights.
- Terrain needs abit of doodad placement.
- Need add some side-quests for player to do.
+ Nice point system.
+ Spell waypoint is very useful.
+ Town is very open and user friendly.
- Town lacks the feel thats its a town.
- Chests could maybe be shared for users since some people hog them.
- Some units need balancing.
+ Gameplay is simple but enjoyable.
- Text at starting coming up all time is annoying.
- Maybe add some sounds for leveling up and spells being used as well healing just a idea.

It's a pretty good map, more balanced than some of the rpg maps out there.
