The cd-key that came with my copy of WC3 turned out to be muted 'cause some noob used a key gen and did some stuff. A week later, though, the key got banned, so no, I don't play anymore.

I play some DotA using Hamachi with a WC3 (1.20c) using Daemon Tools. Never played online

I have it, but I don't play it, in lieu of the vastly superior StarCraft. My WC3 key is used to keep my bot up.

Yeah, a bit. I play DOTA on WTF mode, it's the best...
My friends have a set of rules, like no stun spells, no zeus, no linken, no black king bar, no midas, no teleport dagger, and some other stuff...

Does anyone play melee well? If so, could you tell me what strategies people are using?
Last time I checked:
UD = DK, spiders, statues, destroyers
ELF = Demon Hunter/Panda, dryad, bears
HUMAN = Archmage, casters, rifles
ORC = Blademaster/Far Seer, grunts, raiders

As Mr. Connery said, its dawn of the dead and it is quite popular through wc3. Most people only host DoTD - Aftermath now adays.

and I'am only level 16 with Humans, so I don't play well. But I'll give people advice. To play melee well, just practice on one race until your good and move on to another and so on. It is particularly easy to learn, since it has only 2 resources and similar game play to starcraft, unless of course there are people in SEN that resent melee even in bw. One Key word. Micro.
And the most popular game in the WC3 universe is infact DotA Allstars. No map can challenge it. It is by far the most balanced, competitive gaming in WC3. It is only newb's opinion that some heroes are so "rigged" or anything like that. If you're good, you won't die more than once in a game.

I dont play the game much just never got into the mood of it. I only mostly play it because the Dawn of the Dead 5.2 map is friggin awesome.
