Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Send all Unit on Strategic Suicide Mission

It has come to my attention that whenever I use the AI "Send Units on Strategic Suicide Mission", it only works once. In the campaign Antioch Chronicles, the trigger was initiated more than once with no problem. I have run various test maps with very similar Conditions, but the AI continues to only fires once. Any assistance over this matter will be helpful.

Are you sure that you have preserve trigger?

I don't see why I would want to preserve the action. Then again, I probably didn't explain the entire situation.

In the map, you are up against Zerg opponents. When you destroy too many of their factories, the AI function initiates. But later, the map becomes a game of survival in which the Zerg constantly attack you. The Zerg attacks utilize that same AI.

Now I suppose you're asking "Why don't you use the Order action?" To put it simply, I hope the Send all Units on Strategic Suicide Mission will clear out some expansions first before heading for the area needing to be defended.

It should also be noted that in the Antioch Chronicles map, "Preserve Trigger" was not used once.

Hmm I'm not too sure then, I just remember that in Pylon D Alpha land they preserved it. I haven't done any testing on the script so I'm not sure if it only does it for the units that are on the field at the time or for the ones that spawn afterwards too.

Well, obviously the other map has some other trigger to help the script... You could also use switches... Not sure if that would help though. pinch.gif

I would think that the best way to do it the way you want it is like pyro said and use switches...but there might be another way...let me try and see.

Ermm....mmm...Chrono, just use preserve trigger. Preserve trigger might've not been used in the campaign because of different situations, and the fact that it only fired once for one situation. Yours is always repeating, so there you go.

It should be that problem. I mean, sending an AI script, it goes on it's random suicide mission, and after it has been excecuting it, it's done and have no script, which means it will become idle. So I'd say add a preserve trigger.

You should try replacing the "strategic suicide mission" script with "random suicide mission".

I just made a recent discovery. Apparently, the AI needs a certain period of time before it can be used again. I wish I had more info, but that's all I really know.
