Anyone may enter.
Maps must only have one location in them. (Anywhere does not count, and may be used in addition to your specific location)
It DOESN'T matter when you started making your map. Preferably you didn't make it before I posted this, but it will still be accepted if you so desire to enter it.
Maps will be played on map night Sept. 16 2006
All maps should be uploaded to this thread by Saturday afternoon.
Winner will be decided by vote of all maps played (in a poll held next week)
The prize is the respect and admiration of your peers. This contest is just for fun, so have fun making your maps. If anyone wants to make a donation to the prize pool, they're always welcome. I'll give whatever minerals I have to the winner at the end of the week.
Tileset/genre/number of players is entirely up to you.
If no one enters, we can always just play my map =) Remember, it's better for a map to be fun, than complex and advanced.

Ok. I'll participate in this contest, but uploads are still broken. I'm gonna see if I can apply my Hero AI idea with just 1 location.

Damn... my map isn't even close to being finished... it's too buggy to submit, so I'm out I guess.

Uploads aren't broken. Just download the file, and rename it to "filename.scx". Unless you can't download things period now... But if it's the same problem that's been around for a few months, that'll fix it.

I will, if only just to spite you. As long as people aren't overly ambitious, they'll finish. I'm not asking for anything huge, just a fun little minigame.

Because it's true? At the very least what you describe is a 1.5 location map.

Well, it's not totally finished, but it is playable. I wasn't able to really find testers to help me, but everything seems to be in working order. I wanted to add more, but unfortunatly I was swamped with work and more important things than StarCraft =( I don't really feel too bad though, because chances are the only 2 people who showed interest in the contest didn't finish either XD You can consider this a demo if you like.
I do plan to finish it though. A note to anyone interested, map night starts in one hour.
