Umm I think i'm forgetting something
but how do you make it so you move (teleport) your zerglings
with your guy while they still stay burrowed for some reason they unburrow....
how do i make it so they dont?

Do you have burrow ability researched?

I have done this several times, and never have I had the zergling unburrow when it is moved..

If it is ORDERED to move though, it will unburrow.

By default i have the unburrow disabled but they still for some reason unburrow the damn lings lol tongue.gif So i don't get it lol

I have player one a marine (jim)
and burrowed lings are supposed to move(teleport)
under him but they unburrow lol and them move with it and then
jim can't move.

Cond:
Always

Actions:
Move location, marine, p1, anywhere.
Move Unit, all, zerg zerglins, p1, anywhere to follow marine
preserve

Computers will unburrow their units if they are ordered, or if something attacks them or passes near them(enemies), my question is, do they unburrow? or do they just appear in the other spot unburrowed

ADDITION:
oh ya, and it doesn't matter if burrow is researched, comps can still unburrow, but they cant reburrow, which most comps do if left alone

Could you post the map by any chance?
I dont see anything wrong with it unless they are either being attacked, trying to attack, or being told to move
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Falkoner on 2006-09-12 at 21:28:41
create units with properties, check unburrowed, instead of moving them try to remove them and create them, or have burrow already researched, I'm not sure but that may be the problem

ADDITION:
LOL 4 people reading at once, most I've ever seen!

are the zlings invincible? and is the comp allied to player 1 marine??

http://www.uploading.com/files/US5I2H87/Testing.scm.html

ADDITION:
Currently I don't even have a comp doing or attacking yet I just wanted to test this out real quick before i left lol and it seems like it don't want to work.
I uploaded the map for you to see and check what is wrong.

WOW..

try not repeating the trigger so much.. With hypers and a preserve it should be fine.

Addition:
Also.... you have burrowing disabled for player 1 mellow.gif

alright let me try that.

Ha it still does the same old thing lol I don't get it I'll try creating the units and then i'll see what happens.

ADDITION:
I thought disabled means it's not researched biggrin.gif LOL!!!!

Disabling burrowing would cause that.

Heres a tutorial to creating permanantly burrowed units:

link
Just replace lurker with zergling

whether its disabled or not reasearched will not make a difference in this situation

But having it with a lurker would look weird because of the size of the burrow

um.. you have burrowed disabled..

"disabled for player 1"

thast why they unburrow..

isn't that because lurkers have burrow no matter what.. but if zlings have dont have burrow they will unburrow?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by IsaT on 2006-09-12 at 21:43:26
That method works with any burrowable unit
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-09-12 at 21:46:25
You cant "disable" unburrowing. Computers will unburrow no matter what you do, and diabling burrowing will prevent them from staying burrowed when using the Move (Teleport) action and ever burrowing again once unburrowed.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by V0lcom on 2006-09-12 at 21:55:18
I took off disabled and it still will not work.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)Matt_Burch on 2006-09-12 at 22:06:22
you have to have it researched by default.. or Player 1 researched..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by V0lcom on 2006-09-12 at 22:09:35
And is there anyway I can have it so it doesn't slow down the marine?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)Matt_Burch on 2006-09-12 at 22:13:05
make it move under the marine every few seconds?? but that wont be that accurate.. burrowed units slow down ground units, thats it. If there is a way, id like to know too happy.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by fritfrat(U) on 2006-09-12 at 22:15:05
The marine will always be slowed down.

Also, computer zlings only unburrow for the reason of nearby enemies.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)Matt_Burch on 2006-09-12 at 22:17:24
er.. but if your invincible they won't unburrow.. that why you should ally the zlings, but since your zlings are your zlings.. it wont matter unless you manually unburrow them..

Make a 1 pixel by 1 pixel location in SCMDraft or SF, then use the following trigger

Trigger
Conditions:
¤ always
Actions:
¤ center [1pixellocation] on [your unit]
¤ center [unit location] on [your unit]
¤ preserve

Trigger
Conditions:
¤ player brings 0 [your unit] to [1pixellocation]
Actions:
¤ move zling to [unit location]
¤ preserve
