MiniMoose/IP is there any chance you'd allow
Clan sub-forums for USEast/USWest on SEN? It might attract more members to Staredit.net and it would be completely the Clan leaders' choice to do so. Recruiting members from USWest into clans, and having them join on Staredit.net would increase our ranks.
Any clans/members opposing this idea might be opposing Clan Mp) as wel.
Do we even have enough clans that are split over two servers to justify such a change?
And even if we did, why couldn't they just use their regular forums?
For example, Clan Mp is lead by two different parties. Now it is Minigame on West and Mp)Dada and Mp)3D as leaders on East. Having sub-forums would look more attractive for the Clan since it has different leadership between the two servers. It could be useful becaue it might bring some new faces to know a clan has a forum specifically for USWest, etc. Being the sole Mod Clan that was allowed a forum, I'd think you would have supported the sole multiple server clan. Mp should be rewarded for recruiting USWest members into their ranks and unto SEN.
you really don't need sub forums, the idea is to create unity in a clan not split you up because of your location.
It would be a choice too have, whether it is needed is debatable.
But why would the choice be needed? Why is it that the actual clan forum would not suffice? Basically we've got 4 clans hoisted here and only one would possibly make use of the feature. Its not needed.
Plus, v5 will have a bunch of new features pertainig to clans, so I believe IP or Moose will just say "wait for v5" anyway.
If a clan really is one clan, then there is no way they should need two forums. If you can't feel together as a clan across two gateways, don't share tags and become two separate clans.
So you'd rather them duel clan and have one server change names so you may host two complete different forums?
If a clan can't be together across two servers, then they're not a clan.
Your suggestion is lacking foundation. DTBK has already stated points about the inherent integrity needed for a clan to stay functional, and DevliN probably nailed the v5 bit. Besides, it shouldn't be hard for them to tell who is from which Gateway, considering they probably do stuff together/there's a Battle.net account space in SEN profiles.
what they mean is by (using b.net terms)
remember the time when they had only one server in the U.S, like before they made the split of east and west. there trying to say is that were the same clan its just some people dont want to go to the east side but they like it in the west.
OR
some people lag on that server than the other.
its kind of hard having one leader controlling and playing both servers at the same time... so our goal was to spread the clan all over to every server (if possible with europe and asia from activity and peoples languages)
we just want to have something like the Creative Forum having seperated sub forums... like the top is for west and the bottom is for east.

But what's the point of separate forums? We hardly use clan forums for anything clan-specific as is. And what topics (aside from member lists or map lists) would you have in each separate subforum that you couldn't have in the one forum.

No, he'd rather them share the space and act as one clan. And based on history, double-server clans usually fail on one of the two servers. It happened to (U), [V], Mp), Oo., aE, and a bunch of others. So as a precaution to that, a subforum is unnecessary.
Take note. All clans, i dont care which ones, thrive in the summer and wither during the school year. This is because clans are 99.9% of the time made up of people who are still in school. School takes up time, and the clan is pushed aside while work is done. In the end, a double sever clan would surely die during the year. Double-server just doesnt work, so lets just wait for one side to collapse on Mp and forget this entire idea.

What's the point in splitting a clan over two servers?
It's not like people living on one coast can't connect to the server of the other coast.
Latency isn't an issue, choose gateways at your leisure.
There are people from all over the world connecting to SEN. Seen the
member map recently?

It's not like maps aren't made on USWest. You have a clan on a server to show off your clan by having a presence. That may be the only way they learn of your clan.
In my opinion, Clan Mp is falling apart anyway. Half their members have left, Jmoney stepped down... Most of the rest of them are inactive, its not a pretty sight.
Clans are always falling apart when their members decide to log in a bot instead of themselves, Clans suddenly find themselves in a total inactivity.
That's why people think they are falling apart.
To my opinion, DTBK is right, if a clan cannot be together and require two forums, IS NOT A CLAN.
Use the one forum. Where does it say anything about what gateways are allowed to post in clan forums or host clans on SEN? I see no good reason for US West members or members from anywhere at all not to use SEN.
I read this title and the first thing that popped in my head was Mini Moose saying that this is about the most pointless idea he's ever heard for clan forums o.O I was just about right too
