Hey
Well i had an idea of making a map like Tides Of Blood or defense Of The Ancients (both are cool warcraft3 maps)
what there like is tha each side is composed of 3 human players and a computer (2 sides= 8 players) And so what they do is that the human players each pick a "hero" units which has skills and then there computer ally has a base and make waves of spawns go attack the enemy base. The Heroes help out there comp ally and try to destroy the enmy comps outpost and mainbase.

Each main base and oupost produce a wave of spawns every 45 seconds but if therePut post is destroyed the other team can rebuild it and then get more spawns to attack the enemy base.

I was wondering what you guys would think of this map and if you had any ideas and suggestions for it.

Ill probly make a trailer for it biggrin.gif ( because ive always wanted to make movie ) and also a beta version will be soon playble and i qould like some volunteers for testing (preferably some people who wont go spreading this map around b.net and wont try to open it if i protect it).

I can show you my new AvP AoS map. I don't have skills in it cept Predator cloak right now but you can kinda get a idea on how you can do things. Make sure though you tell the player what spells the heroes have and what they are specilized in. Anyway give me a shout on USwest I use the same name on there!

sounds cool, yea not alot of AoS's out. But people could do. FF AoS , Diablo AoS, Starcraft AoS and stuff even Rise of Machines AoS =/ but eh. If ya need another tester even so ya got lots here you can msg me.

Ok thank you for all the feedback and offers the test it. I'm a bit busy with doing volunteer work and stuff but i think il have an early beta version of the game by the end of hte weekend.

And to Stereo yes i know about the idea coming from starcraft i just used warcraft3 exemples because ive never seen of these games is Starcraft.

For hero's i was thinking of having a summoner, ranged attacker, a melee hero and maybe someone with a bunch of damage skills.

For skills i was thinking of using a systeme similar to the one used in Sorcery RPG (the best SC rpg map ever) but using a dropship instead of beacons so it uses less room.

Just a question ( ill make a post in assistance if i need more help ) is it possible to remove beacons form the map??

Anyways about the map, will there be items and abilities, since most characters in SC don't have spells like in wc3.

Make sure the computer isn't perfectly balanced. Make like comp1 is stronger at left and comp2 stronger at right.
That way players won't sit and let the game flow.

I also had an idea, along with the items and abilities you could have the units learn their own upgrades the more kills they get. For example, you could have a hero be a marine and after a certain amount of kills he automatically learns stimpack.

You can't get players to automatically learns thigns, but you could give them the money to do it.

DOOOO IIIITTT!!!! I love that map and love that system. For the system, you mean where you chose hp/mana/spells to upgrade right?

Don't make the computer spawns static, make them random. Have a secluded area of the map for each comp.

Have triggs like this

Yes thats exactly what i mean but i was just wondering if anyone had a copy of sorcery rpg i haven't played in a while and i got my comp rebooted so i have no data at left. pinch.gif

The skills i was thinking was one hero ( at later lvls could call in a orbital strike a battlecruiser with enough enery for like 3 yamato shots but only 1 attack damage)

Another was a carpet bomb ( lay down some spider mines in a area )

Some area of affect damage ( like reduce enemys hp ny 25% in a radius around hero )

Since my map will be 3vs3 i was wondering how many hero's do you think i should have i currently have 2 on each side

Lots of work to be done don't know if ill be able to get beta done by weekend i have to stain my whole deck/fence/etc....

Hey Vindexus do you mean run ai script Junk Yard dog at spawning resevoir???
