Why are topics being locked in this forum? If someone wanted to respond in the Snakes on a Plane thread or the Employee of the Mnth thread (which is coming out soon, so there will probably be discussion about it), they'd have to make new topics which would further clutter this forum. Why not just open all the topics again so they'd be able to post there?

I'm guessing they're just being auto-locked due to inactivity. I think the "idle" period is about 3 weeks or so. I think its a good idea to have some pinned topics about redundant things such as "favorite movie" threads and the like.
