http://starcraftsoapopera.com/

Yoshi already redirected staredit.net's domain to a different page, labeling SEN as down.
The only reason you still can visit SEN is because one level or another in your connection to the internet network hasn't updated their dns cache (hopefully I got that right). Tomorrow, SEN will continue to run at this url: http://starcraftsoapopera.com/
Spread it around.

So all that's happened is than SEN gone, but the site itself just got a new domain?

no the site is fine but no one will be able to get to it, thats what we think is going to happen

No... not entirely.
Staredit.net will no longer go to my host's server. My server is where the forums, the maps, etc are hosted. Yoshi changed staredit.net to go to a page that states:
QUOTE
Where's SEN? Gone, but it's not the end of map making. There were a great amount of internal politics, mistakes were made. Generally, the site is now gone. However, another great map making site is being created. One run by community veterans and wonderful friendly people.

However the site is not complete yet. When these people tell me it's done, I'll redirect the staredit.net domain. Until then, you're going to get this page. Stay with the community, you shall hear more! The best is yet to happen.

starcraftsoapopera.com will point to my host once the dns is updated. From there, it's rather unknown what will happen.

Yoshi, that's a rather pathetic and petty thing to do.

I would never stoop so low as to go and attack Mike on his buisness site. If he wanted to talk to me, he would talk to me on MSN.

EDIT: IP, exactly how much of SEN has been backed up?

Wow... That's one of the most naive moves I've ever seen. Yoshi left SEN for a while and then when he came back, he complained that everything wasn't as it was when he left.

SEN has, just like any community that is growing, changed. Peoples attitudes change when more people come. It's not just naive to belive that he can have the friendly atmosphere again with his bunch of old forum veterans, it's bloody stupid. Such is the development of all forums. The golden days pass, but you can't do anything to get them back. What makes golden days so joyful is the feeling of a group of mutual understanding, but that feeling can only be achived when the group is relatively new. Unless you start all over, it will never be the same.

What's funny is that every SEN-kid would agree that SEN is oh-so wonderful, and everyone seems to think so except Yoshi. Perhaps leaving the site in IP's hand wasn't a good move (I don't know what IP did and didn't do and I don't care - I'm not taking sides in the argument), but apparently the averenge SEN-kid doesn't think the site is bad. And perhaps this is where the problem lies... Perhaps Yoshi doesn't like the averenge SEN-kid for not missing the golden days that were always better. If this is even remotely true, then Yoshi has failed - the problem lies within his own attitude towards the SEN-visitors, not towards the way the admins ran the site in his departue. No matter what is done, golden days always decline and dissapear.

Very good post Ojan smile.gif.
What I did wrong? Apparently not taking control of the community as much as I should have over the course of this entire time.

Voy: I have the server. I can backup anything and everything at any point.

Everything. Yoshi can't touch the data on the server; all he can do is delete the domain name. Everything about SEN will be the same, only it will be now accessed through the URL www.starcraftsoapopera.com

@IP: couldn't you go steal a better domain?

Amen. Yoshi seems to have gotten younger in his years of absence.
