Ok, I know theres a bizillion threads about this topic, but I seriously dont get it. First of all, theres a map I have made by someone else, and he somehow got HUGE songs on there.. yet, I only thought that you can upload just WAVS on there. These songs last 1-2 minutes each, and they are in his sound editor.. how is this possible? I try to add a FFIII song, it doesnt show up on the file screen when i try to upload because it cant take them. I'm using SCMDRAFT 2 btw. (same thing he used).

Anyways, I looked on how he got his music loop, but it doesnt make sense to me because there are too many ways people do this. He has triggers like this:

Conditions:
Current player has suffered at least 1 deaths of "Some unit"

Actions:
Modify death counts for current player: add 1 for "Some unit"
Modify death counts for current player: add 1 for "Some other unit"
Preserve trigger

Conditions:
Current player brings at most 0 [men] to location
current player brings at least 1 [men] to location

Actions:
Modify death counts for current player: set to 1 for "some unit"
Play wav

WTF!?!?!?!

I just need to know like which unused units to use for this.. I dont get how the order of units works on here..

All I want is somoene just to show me how to do a basic loop for a song (something YOU Did that worked, not jibberish!!) that will WORK!!! tongue.gif

THANK YOU!

Well can you please tell me how to upload huge wavs like this one guy did? I mean, I played the wav and it was 2 minutes long! I try to upload 2min songs but it wont let me hence it isnt a WAV... I'm using scmdraft 2.0

btw, on scmdraft, i'm trying to use "player 9" for the music loop as my unused player, but it isnt working... what should i use for an unused player? =[

Convert the music file into an 8-bit .wav file.

Triggers owned by extended players will not run. Give them to the players that will hear the music, and the trigger that keeps track of the music should be given to a computer player (or for all of the players that will hear the music if there are no computer players).

Ok so basically you mean this..

Taking a 5 minute song theme and converting it into 20 8-bit wavs? you see, from my experience you cannot upload anything bigger than 8-bit wavs. Well my question is, viewing from smcdraft 2.0 on this guys sound editor, he has a song on there that is 3 minutes long, and it says something like "Desert.wav". I dont get HOW he got than on there... I tried DLing "wav converters" but everytime i try to open a file from my music folder, the folder is BLANK on the program.

Do you know any programs to make wavs from music on? Thanks again.

Here:

Sound Convertor
Midi -> Wav
Mp3 to Wav Converter

You can also use Windows' Sound Recorder.

Use Sound Recorder to break apart the music into multiple files (For example: if the music file is 2 minutes long, save at the 0-40, 40-80, and 80-120 second intervals and upload them seperately into your map).
