Staredit Network -> Modding Assistance -> Why does my GRP turn out like poop?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SubFocus on 2006-10-04 at 01:44:55
Okay... So, I just spent nearly 2 hours or something editting each frame of the Zerg Ultralisk... Everything turned out how I imagined it would... Except when I actually began to test it. When I test it, there are little grey dots/pixels all around in each frame. It wasn't that way when I made it! Or when I viewed it in Retro GRP! Please, help!

I have included an attachment, the .grp file so you can see for yourself.

if u did with RetroGRP, you should save first frame to RLE compress format in your case
but GRP-Editor in StarDraft SE doesn't need change to that

I'm not quite sure what you're saying here... Yes, I used RetroGRP... How do I "save the first fram as a .RLE file" ? And I don't know exactly why you mentioned StarDraft... I didn't use StarDraft for anything.

No my mean isn't about RLE file
RLE is kind of BMP Compress type
So u should save BMP file with that type

and the reason why i said about StarDraft is StarDraft SE inclulde GRP editor
and that GRP editor compile GRP from normal 256-color bmp

So if u couldn't make BMP file with RLE then try use StarDraft SE

that's why all about i said like that

if u don't know how to save BMP with RLE, try GIMP or Photoshop
in BMP save options there is RLE item of options

also are you using the color pallet ? If you don't it'll make it be freaked out.
