Basically I am taking a concept I came up with a few years ago, put it into a RPG, and simplifying it so people can understand what they are doing. I had started this a while ago, but I had to delete all the missions because I wanted to put in cutscenes and change storyline.
I am not trying to make it too hard, so even if you lose your men you can get them back. Minerals won't really be currency, they're like supplies. You can only get another unit if supplies are available, if you lose a unit, those supplies become available.[center]
- Concept -[/center]
The concept is that you can start with three base units:(B)asic Material [Marine](M)utant Material [Zergling](T)echnology Material [Zealot]Those are considered "C01" fusions. You can mix and match them to make different units, here is the combinations finished so far:(BB) [Hero Marine](BM) [Hydralisk](BT) [Marine](MM) [Hero Zergling](MT) [Dragoon](TT) [Hero Zealot]Those are considered "C02". Being that they come from two units, they will be generally stronger. This will go on up untill "C03" or "C04". Of course there will be two Secret materials, alone they will be considered "C05" and fusing them with something else will end up with "C06" or if you fuse them together you get "C0X". You see the pattern.[center]

Since this is revolving around a fictional concept, I can invent my own laws of physics. Also I was hoping that the storyline would include that you are in the area of a Weapons Development Headquarters and there is a group that wishes to take your technology to add it to their own.
The Imperial Cannon is YOUR technology, the Gravity Cannon is THEIR technology. They have somehow managed to create unstable fusions (weaker units) and also focused on creating two super-powerful materials to use against you.[center]

Basically there is a few basic "Weapons" that the leader may use (or purchase).> Medical Equipment [Medic]Effect: Changes leader into a medic.
Abilities: Healing, Restoration and Optical Flare
Others: You must unlock this weapon before being able to use it.
Price: 250 Gas
> Technical Equipment [SCV]Effect: Changes leader into a Technician.
Abilities: Repair mechanical units, and defenses.
(Possibility: Build something?)Others: You must unlock this weapon before being able to use it.
Price: 250 Gas
> Imperial Cannon [Reaver]Effect: Leader can use the Imperial Cannon
Abilities: Shells will cause a major imbalance upon the materials, causing the targets to split.
(ie: If a C02 unit was shot, it would split into two C01 units)Others: You must unlock this weapon before being able to use it.

> Gravity Cannon [Hero Reaver]Effect: Leader can use the Gravity Cannon
Abilities: Shells are made with an extremely dense material, creating its own gravitational field.

I know I can say "I am going to finish this." all I want, and people are still going to doubt it. So I'm not going to say that, All I can say is: Have faith in me and hope my life doesn't interrupt the production.

First of all if you want the map to succeed dont include mp)lyon in anything, hes less consistant than u
. And I like your layout for your new map, the old 1 was just like a mass defence and got boring and makin this 1 more like an adventure or a player is intresting. As always your idea to combine units to make new ones is clever, and the leader transformer abilities are also cool. Maybe give the leaders different kinds of ranks or weapons to use as they explore or level up or watevr. Maybe even allow equipping of items that are auto-use, such as a phase cannon weapon that recharges and shoots nearby enemy units every 10 seconds? just an idea. Anyway goodluck, your old buddy -DB
