No fancy text stuff b.c im bad with that lol. It will be a 4 player map. It starts off with you the leader of your men and a few men and a colony that is allied to you. Each colony has 3 stances towards those are Enemy, Neutral, Alliance. If they have an alliance with you they will be same color as you. Enemy they will be color of one of you enemys. Theres a time when it will be neutral color but enemy to you. Thats if you choose to attack the colony to take it over. Thus it will change to a player that is allied to the other players but not you so you can still be neutral with other colonys. It is a joint project between me and my friend Temp(MC), and Surtur(MC) and Alpha(MC) will also be helpers if we need help on this big project. To win a colony over you can either do it by force or by doin quest for the leader of the colony and these can vary. Later on in the game you will earn a flagship which can haul troops around and has 4 starships docked aboard for defence. To win the game you must control all colonys and of course to lose you must control zero colonys. Each colony has a food supply and metal mines that you must protect. A good way to make a colony leave an enemy is to sabatage that colonys food supplys and mining operations thus cause the enemy to lose that colonys support. When your leader dies you dont lose instead all you lose is some men and maybe the support of a colony and your leader is replaced from a solider in your army that steps up to assume command. You can earn money by having the favor of a colony and defending them, or doing task for colony leaders. To train more men you bring your leader to teh barracks in a friendly colony and you can train more men for cost. I will keep you posted on progess as I go along.

Its only me and Temp(MC) making it but Alpha and Surtur are just gonna help and all 4 of us are good map makers. Me and Temp have thought of all ideas together and talk bout every detail so im sure it will work fine.

Sounds pretty sweet, how are the colonies gonna know if you've helped defend them? Will mining and food just be minerals and gas?

Yea mining and food will just be minerals and gas. For the colonys know you helped them just set a trigger where u go to colony leader with your leader and you get the randamized trigger of what to do. When you meet that task it will be cleared and yea. I will lay down the short story we have so far.
The Year is 2301, the people of Earth have been at war for over Two years now. Millions upon Millions are dead as the Earths mighest armies clash in battles of over welming odds. One corporation decides to create a peaceful place. They start a Project called Colonization. Its to build colonys in space. Five years after the project started the headquarters for the Project is destroyed in a massive battle. Many flee to these colonys hoping to get away from the battles on Earth. Three years after the destruction of the headquarters of Project Colonization the war on Earth is over. Its not over due to peoples peace treatys instead it ends because Earth's resources are exhausted and the atmosphere is unable to support human life anymore. All that is left is the people on the Colonys. A distrust and hatred towards different Colonist due to there actions in the war on Earth leads to small fights between colonist militia.There is Four main Factions now that wish to control the colonys and you command one of them.
For your question below its more like people from colonys flocked to the colony of the faction they support while many are neutral and you job is to win them over by force or by doin tasks for the colony leader.

When people fled earth, did they go to a colony for each of their factions? Like one side would always go to the colony in Gorpa sector or something? Cause otherwise you would have enemies living in the same colony.

You gave me an idea at that start of game i could have it where each faction has a few men scattered about different colonys.

sounds realy sweet, i can see in your sig that its only 5% done...what will game play be like? will you only command small amounts of units or large?

Small at first but as you get more colonys on your side the larger your forces will start to get. Also as you get more colonys you will start to be able to afford space craft and such. We want it to be one those games that will take awhile to play out not just a 30 min game but rather 1hr or longer, preferably longer. Gameplay for troop movement will greatly change when you get your Flagship that can carry a load of men to different areas to combat. Thinking at this time of adding a Morale feature where high morale your men are the best of the best while if ur morale is really low men start to desert you thats just an idea though if it will be part of map is still pending.

Ill try to update my sig ot match urs bringer and i think this will be a really good map tongue.gif . We have worked out alot of different things and if there arn't many severe problems it should end up going very smoothly (although bringer i think you brought way to amny people on board)

We might have some heroes in there (not sure yet) but i don't think we will add spells. I don't think we will have ages because the game isnt suppoused to take place over a long period of time.

This sounds sort of like room wars or risk. I believe you should add like a tornado or some sort of random event that way people at the lower end of the game won't just leave knowing they lost the game. Maybe this tornado or something will give them a chance since the winning player has most control of the map therefore he is more subjectable to random damage.

Well we appreciate the ideas and thoughts plz keep it up. Some heros would be a good idea. Tornados??? lol There in space on colonys not on earth. Like i said there is cheap tricks to get colonys on ur side like sabatoging an enemys colonsy food supplies and such and then they leave ur enemys side since they think there not protectiong them enough.

You can not build more barrax than the colony has since resources are limited and such to fit the story:D. The bigger colonys will have more Barracks and of course as i said earlier you can only use the barracks or other unit building buildings when ur leader is on the colony. Other wise it belongs to ur allied comp. We will add and subtract things as we go along and maybe we will add revolts or such that is yet to decided.

lol revolts wouldnt be bad. Although alot of ideas we cannot use (cause of limited switches we are pratically using them all). Good ideas though (volcanos in space?????). You guys might wanna read over the story again though tongue.gif



Edit: We might be cut down to 3 players sad.gif (for limited comp reasons). Kinda sucks, i know i dont like it.
