Preplaced eggs never finish building.

Well I've seen tons of maps where there is like a mutalisk cocoon that never finishes building, and when you click on it the progress bar at max and there's like a > arrow on it. I thought there was something like that for eggs too.

You cant have an egg that never finishes, but you can put an egg at max morph time and that should work for whatever you are trying to do

did you not read the posts above you or something? eggs will never finish if they are pre-placed.

Your so smart, I wish I could be like you some day...

I thought the guy needed to use them ingame, not preplace them

Zeratul, XGuy did have a valid point that that is basically all you can do for eggs after the game has started. Doesn't warrant X in acting stupid back, though.

Eggs will finish after an hour or so even at max build time for in-game, so all infinite-time eggs have to be pre-placed.

Wouldn't it be possible to stack tons of preplaced eggs and just move them wherever you wanted ingame?

Can you stack eggs? Stacked or not, that idea would work, though.

If I remember correctly, no, eggs cannot be stacked.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you couldn't make eggs through triggers.

Yeah, it's impossible to create eggs via triggers. But it's possible to simply do DEAD's trigger using move from location with preplaced eggs (as was said above) instead of creating new eggs and everything should work fine.
