Once upon a time(earlier this summer) I started making a mod that would transform starcraft in a Role-Playing-Game,not just a mod for a single map,I am making a rpg mod that will work on ANY melee map(yep even on LT).One player will be an all-mighty Dungeon Master ,the other players will be able to choose a hero,level up,learn and evolve new skills and feats,and (of course) save the world from the Zerg:P.

As a start I'll start posing screenshots and info about the heroes and once i have a bit more stable version(the current one crashes A LOT) I will post an alpha.
I'd like some feedback smile.gif and please Do ask questions

Protoss Hero #1:
Protoss Templar

Thats the first hero I "coded" ,a spellcaster with LOTS of eyecandy happy.gif
All protoss have 3 primary stats-Psionic Power,Psionic Resistence and Psionic Focus.
Power and resistence are just the regular attack and deffence upgrades.
Focus is used to upgrade attack spells damage and to incrace psishield damage reduction.

Here is his primary attack,it looks quite good ingame,its a missle that has an overlay of blue feedbacks that spin around

Here is the first spell
Psi Bolt-2 missles that cost 10 energy and have a short cooldown

The second spell is good old Psi Storm,but with a damage upgrade (+8)

Well, I'm not sure about the concept behind the mod, but the new spell graphcis are certainly quite neat.

Sounds cool! I really look forward to seeing this, especially since Atrea's Children will have an exp-based upgrade system--I'd like to see one successfully implemented. Cool-looking spells, too.

Interesting idea... It's always interesting to see something that pushes the envelope of Starcraft, making it do things that weren't intended...

I'm not sure about the DM idea too,well,I will add lots of tools and see what comes up later smile.gif
I have already added big part of the dm stuff,like he can created any unit from all 3 races(even heroes).There is a special builder unit which moves so fast that we can say it teleports-with this "Executor" you can warp in all buildings(special ones and minerals too).It can be used also to bring instant death to an unwanted unit building or hero (THe finger of death smile.gif ).I have also added a reward system-he can give experience and learn points to other players when they complete quests.
AND I have added a description of every spell,attack and upgrade button

Oh,btw this isn't a paladins and orcs rpg ,it's located in starcraft universe so I'm trying to give good explenations for the spells and stuff.

here is another templar spell,u can create projections of your templar to lure enemies,u cannon select the created templars,they are owned by a neutral player and they last 18 seconds before disapearing(can u guess which spell i have modded happy.gif and its not hallucination)

The other spells are recall and summon archon(first u create the archon at nexus and then u recall it next to the templar).A player cannot control more than 1 acrhons(if u create more they will be given to neutral enemy players).The archon will have the Deffencive Matrix spell that costs 100 energy and u should try to keep him alive while the energy regenerates so u can cast the spell

The last spell is just Ensnare but with diffrent graphics(maelstorm ones).Its called Kinetic slowdown.

Each hero will have unit upgrade at 4th and 7th level-more hit points,shields and sight range for teplars,same stuff plus melee damage for Zealots.Ghost will get more HP ,SR and bonus learn points.The 4th hero,the Infested Ghost wont have those kind of upgrades but he'll be able to shift forms from a spellcaster to a fighter(siege mode)

The other protoss hero is the Zealot,
the spells are stimpacks,closerange maelstorm,feedback,darkswarm ,cloak and a lowrange scannersweep with some graphic and stat changes,nothing spectacular.
The zealot has a special passive skill called Psi Charge-its activated every time he runs towards an enemy and deals damage on contact.
I have added a small dust effect while walking.
There is also a skill that regenerates the shields to maximum value every few seconds.

The Templar Projections are my favourite, they even move around by themselves smile.gif

Is there a way to make the movement invisible? then it would really teleport.

This is looking great! When can we all expect a DL?
