I understand that the uploadable kind of pictures are only JPG, JPEG and GIF. I think I missed one, but since many starcraft players work with .PCXs, and .BMPs, why you add those to the system, If possible.
I'm getting tired of my current avatar, and wanted to upload a stupid inverse carrier, but it's a .BMP, and I don't have any image editor except paint.
1. You can upload them, but not as avatars.
2. Paint can save in several formats...
Re save it. Right click on it, click Rename and then change the last thing to .gif or .jpg this will make it how you want. If this doesnt work then your comp is not good enough! lol
renaming files does not change there file type...
Paint is the fastest program for image format changing. So "I have only paint" is no excuse.
PCX is an ugly format that also likes to eat up space. It is also very obsolete, so just use Irfanview to convert your screenshots.
Paint can save your images to any of the allowable upload types in addition to BMP, if you go to Save As, you can select things such as JPEG, PNG, and GIF is the "file type" box.
So no, we won't be broadening the image upload types.
