Some of you might have noticed that DEAD is no longer staff. This is because it was brought to our attention that he had multiple accounts.

DEAD had not one, not two, not even three, but seventeen accounts on SEN. As such, he has been fired as Staff and further punishment is being discussed. He used his accounts to rig polls by voting many times in them, among other things.

So, for your own sakes, please refrain from making extra accounts on this website.

I will grant amnesty for punishment for double accounts on the following conditions:

• The accounts have never clearly been used for malicious purposes.
• The owner of the accounts informs me or another senior Staff member about the accounts.
• One account is selected to continue on as the primary account, while the others get deleted.

If you have that extra closet account lurking around somewhere, I implore you to contact me. I'll try to be nice, but if I have to stumble across it while running IP scans, I won't be so nice.

I'm setting up a random screening program. Ten members (minimum) will be selected at random and personally screened by me for double accounts (possibly more, depending on my free time). Hopefully, DTBK will be joining me in this once I get it set up. If you've got multiple accounts, I wouldn't reccomend fighting against the clock, because you will be found eventually.

Can we by any chance know what the seventeen accounts were? And during these scans, do you look for people who should be banned/suspended from the site (like Gamma being able to post and all)? I'm pretty sure a few "banned" members have other accounts here.

Acording to my logs, I had 15 additional accounts, I think I've lost 1 due the HDD lost.

I admit I wanted to create a new account at one point to assume a new identity and act completely different than I do on this one, to muster up a different reputation as it were. But I just never got around to it, and now I can see why its good that I didn't.

I did not do it. I never posted with them. In basic, it was just a big fat experiment on how much accounts can I make and how long will it take to find out. Additionally I used them to hold amounts of money for further use.

According to DTBK, I've used them to rig votes. I guess, I did rig some.

It took hell of a long time to find out actually.

I can't say exactly as the accounts seem to be deleted. About 6 months I guess.

I also had a former account. I just asked Moose to delete it, and he did.

I think DEAD just showed that Moose doesen't have a code that automatically checks all members' IP adresses' and compares them to reveal any possible double accounts.

This is an unfortunate turn of events. I've always liked you DEAD, even way back during your "Plague to Batman" days. I hope you'll own up to what you've done. If you're as good as I think you are, you will. Like they say, "You buttered your bread, now sleep in it."

I hope Moose can see the positive side. And also, he showed how easy it is to get away with double (*cough 15 cough*) accounts for a log while. It's a good reminder when someone points out your problems.

17 accounts? wholey smokes. When you said not one not two not three I was expecting four. Also I dont remember ever seeing those accounts before, I guess they were only used for polls and such.

I came clean with DT. I sent him a link to my double account that I used all of I think twice, both within a month of creating it (once to post and once to upload an attachment because we had crap for storage space back then). Also, I created it before most of you were even here, circa November 2004.

My view of you hasn't changed at all, you're still highly respected even though you broke a rule. WOW, it's a website, you broke a rule, you're a bad person!!!

Anyways, I still think you deserve to lose your moderating power, to teach yourself a lesson. However, with more hardwork and activity, then there is a chance you will get it back, if Moose is as forgetting as I hope he is.
