Taxes vs happyness.
10-16% - normal happyness.
17-20% - -1 happyness.
21-23% - -3 happyness.
24-25% - -5 happyness.
26-28% - -7 happyness.
As you see it's divided into groups. So it's useless to have a 10% taxes, because there is no difference in happynes between 10 and 16%, except you will get 6% more money with 16%.
Also, you gain the most money with 28% taxes. So you can just set taxes up to 28% before collecting them and then set them back to 16%.
Also I have developed a financial plan for a starting nation. As we all know infrastructure means how many citizens you have, and the more citizens you have the more money they will pay you. So here is the daily plan:
- The first thing you must do when a new day starts is to pay bills before you purchase anything. The more stuff you have the bigger the bill, so you better pay it first.
- Now if you have any money left after paying bills, start fixing you nation flaws if any. Start with military problems, like lack if troops. Then buy enough land so your people are happy.
- If you have no flaws and still got some money before you've collected taxes, buy as much infrastructure as you can afford.
- Set taxes to 28%. (find the breaking end that gives you the most cash: 16, 20, 23, 25 or 28%)
- Collect taxes.
- set taxes back to 16% to keep your people happy.
This way you you pay a minimum bill and collect maximum taxes each day. And another great thing using this plan is that you always have extra money on hands, in case if somebody attacks you and you need to buy some extra troops. Because you spend the tax money only next day after paying bills.
