But it hasn't been confirmed as having online play. But Nintendo would be stupid not to release it with online play.

I wonder if gameplay is going to be very similar, and still the same pro techniques like wavedashs and a bunch of stuff... because if it changes I might be able to beat my friend

The Wii is said to have an internet connection even when turned off...So yo ucan receive mail and such...So I think SSBB will be for WiFi play.

I thought there were going to be more characters than that from what I've heard. I mean there's more characters in Super SMash Bros melee.

However, we will say good-bye to two characters:
Ice Climbers
Mr. Game and Watch

This game looks like it'll be totally awesome. Let's just hope most of the characters from SSBM will be included (Marth, ftw!).

It was part of a 1up interview. I believe if you look in the official forums, you'll see those characters mentioned as confirmed and that Ice Climbers and Game 'n' Watch got booted due to their unpopularity.
