Okay, I want to see some posts about different ways to:

1.Randomize
2.Timers

1. Random switches.

2. Countdown timer.

My favourite randomization: Human-action-triggered.

Have a death counter loop, and whenever something happens, the counter has a different value. Only works well with hypers and actions that don't happen with given time differences. You can use some randomized switches to randomly add a value. The advantage: You don't have to rerandomize.

Timers: Any counter; deaths, score, minerals, units, even supply.

even supply

What?! How to make a supply timer? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Be creative happy.gif

I don't see any reasons to use it, but you could make one with supply used, or with zerg combining overlords and hatcheries shifty.gif

Stack 200 hatcheries out of view, kill one at a time.

Or you could use the left side and create a large number of burrowed units out of view, and kill one at a time.

This would have drawbacks though:

1) Might cause lag
2) You couldn't have regular units of that race
3) Etc...

That's why I said I see no use in it happy.gif

25 overlords + 7 hatches; give 1 hatch to another player each time, then give back all hatches and remove on overlord wink.gif

Why would you use regular oves that give only 8 supply when you can use the heros that give 30 supply?

Really? The heros give 30 supply?? COOL! anyways, I thought of some funky ideas, here goes:

1.In a secluded area create a critter and have locations surrounding it so when it walks into them different things happen, this makes it simple to have larger chances of getting certain things simply by having larger locations, also you could reuse it by using different critters for different randomness!
Bad things:
1)It might take a while
2)Takes up space

2.Have a unit run to an area, so you could also randomize the unit that runs to have different unit speeds and different times. Also you could easily have 2 units run at once and therefore have multiple timers going, although they might overlap with the same unit...
Bad things:
1)Very space consuming
2)Kind of stupid tongue.gif

Yeah...

You could have a unit that patrols between two locations, and whenever it comes to one of the locations, subtract one counter and order it to go to the other location.

Hmm... Seems almost exactly like my idea with death counters thrown in... Oh well, lolz.

Guys I mean that someone posted that hero overlords give 30 supply, then they deleted their post, making me sound like an idiot... Maybe I should follow their example...
