FlareonFurry's Flareon Bound

I ended up using the vast majority of the available locations setting up terrain...I've got somewhere around 10 remaining...
It's gonna' for the Expert bounders, and I'm probably gonna' use every special effect I've ever learned how to use in order to make my map look awesome during play.

Progress


Terrain: 100%
Hard Mode Triggers: 15%
Unit Names/Stacking: 1%


-Ideas
•The "Box-In obstacle" makes a recurring appearance in this map, and those that have played some of my older maps should recognize the general style of the obstacles, and maybe even see a few of my old favorites...

-Terrain
•The terrain in my map consists of an SCPM-made and manually recolored Flareon. There's also the typical banner setup, and if a "Life Giver" is going to be set up, it's going to be at the end of the map's development, because at the moment the bound isn't hard enough to warrant the need to have inferior players give you their lives...

-Unit placement
•I'd like to say my unit placement is original, but it's not really all that new. I have the same general setup as a lot of other bounds, with the "Host CP" located out of the way so as not to interfere greatly with the minimap.

-Triggers
•My triggers are coming along somewhat slowly, but at least the terrain is done...

-Testers
•I'm gonna' need some later, feel free to sign up.

•5 bounders, 2 Computer players, and one Player for Bounder units...

•Badlands, the best tileset evar.

•256x192

•Flareon is © Gamefreak etc etc etc etc etc




Storyline / Introduction

As with all other bound maps, no real introduction needed.


Features


-Player Interface
Players will be able to bound, and there's 5 sets of obstacles for them to conquer. At the beginning of each set of Obstacles, the players will recieve a certain number of lives, and have to make it through each set with that many lives.

All the same colour players does become confusing sad.gif. This seems fun although I don't bound much anymore. The only complaint I have is the map size seems a bit excessive when most of it is just used for a picture. Just a personal opinion, the picture is nice, but people will look at it and say "Oh how nice," for like two seconds then pay attention to the bound because that's what they want to be doing. Takes a bit longer to download (especially for people with slow internet) and I personally have had people leave a bound map I made because the map was too big (256x256).

Yeah, I agree map is too big. Make sure the obstacles have break stops.

Map size doesnt make too big a difference when dling
Only thing that really affects it is music over 20 seconds long

So is this gonna be on Vanilla
or Broodwar Map?
otherwise there wouldnt be a need to select player 1
as a rescuable player for all to be red.
