Hey everyone a while back i posted about making an AoS map

Before i start explaining i would like to apologize to every one because i said my beta would be done by the end of the weekend. Well that's not going to happened because my comp broke for a few days and i have some technical difficulties.

OK back on topic my AoS map is 3vs3 hero's one side is terran/protoss and the other is zerg/a little protoss maybe it has a independent story line ( not involved with SC in anyway)

So the hero have skills that you use with the dropship menu and i was wondering if anyone has some skill idea's because i couldn't think of that many.

Also i'm going to add a special feature called superskills(needs a new name) wich are very good almost game winning but cost a lot ( 10 minerals 1 min= about 100-350 kills)

Finally i was wondering if anyone had a name for my map( can't think of anything) its set i badlands tileset if that helps.

By AoS I assume you mean Age of Strife type maps? If so, my skill ideas are

a healing spell with 3 levels, one will set hp to 75, one to 85, one to 95, that you attain by getting more kills.

a spell where it kills all units around your hero (when he is surrounded), call it Rage or something.

hmm thats what i can think of right now. I'm gonna go post some info about my RPG now...and, hey tell us more about plot (if any) so we can think of an appropriate title for your map.

Heres some spell ideas:
-Healing Aura (Heals nearby units.)
-Invincibility Aura (Sets all nearby units to invincible for 5 seconds.)
-Conversion (Gives a few enemy army units to your hero.)
-Shadow Strike (Kills 5 nearby units instantly.)
-Jump (Gets you out of a tight spot.)

hmm just hope this game'll be balanced with all the spells.

for Spells how about at really high levels you have abilities that effect entire lanes.

Or you can send a bunch of units for the allied computer to use.

I woud like some sort of mode, where when you achive a censored.gif load of kills, your fellow soldiers view you as a god, and then whereever you go, they somehow protect you. or u just have some crazy ass spell that whips everyone around you for 20 meters.

Sounds good... if you can pull it off. Here's my suggestions.

- AoS's tend to get boring after a 30 minutes, have random ambushes, and stuff to spice it up.

- Make sure to balance!

- The spells should be inventive. Like... "Smoke Bomb", it would make and kill a bunch of hallunicated stuff around the hero and make the enemy not fire. Or something like that.

- Use a dropship spellbook. Easiest to use.

- Gamewinning spells = Not fun!

- Make more then one objective.

- Have fun making the map!

umm just a suggestion make a dupe spell (call it what you want) where for 'X' amount of seconds you have 2 heroes.

Or it could just be a hallucination kinda like warcrafts blademaster.

Hey thanks for the ideas i'm using the dropship spellbook and i have 4 heroes per team as of right now each with a level 1 skill which are

-temp invicible(4 seconds) on Anubis (dark templar)
-promote(changes 3 spawns around the hero into better spawns) for phoenix(zealot)
-barrage(creates siege mode tanks behind hero)for vandal(vulture)
-blizzard(needs new name: it makes a crap load of scarabs in a big area around the caster to attack a lot of stuff)

for the other team
-familiar(summons a wraith a little weaker then a normal spawn) for torm(defiler who starts with a darkswarm firing system to summon ultralisks)
-spawn brood(creates 1 broodling a second for 10 second around the caster) for hallow an hero ultralisk
-pyroclasm(kills all spawns in melee around the caster)
-mirror image(creates 5 hallucinated images directly around you to confuse enemys) for cardigan (infested duran)

ill add more info in my next post like story etc....

Aside from doing my other map, i was thinking of making another AoS map quite a while ago. I got the map terrain out, but didnt develope the rest of the hero skills.

I was going to use some of these skills in my map... but knowing me, ill probably finish it halfway and then leave it tongue.gif
Well... i was thinking 3v3 with 4-5 heros to pick on each side, with 2-3skills and an ultimate skill(where each normal skill has 1-3levels, like warcraft3 and the ultimate has 2 levels). To use the ultimate you must have enough experience points to let it be available. You know, the same ol' evil vs good stuff, Direct damage/party friendly. The map i was making also allows you to purchase upgrades to the town where it increases the # of spawned units every spawn.

Heros ( Here's one, then the counter hero for that hero)
Zealot: Mirror Image : Makes hallcination (makes 1, 2, 3)
Concentrate Energy: Converts life to shields (Make hp 15% Shields 50%, Hp 20% Shields 65%, Hp 30% Shields 75%)
Still thinking of Skill or maybe no more
Ultimate: Courage of Auir ( invincible for 5 seconds cooldown 5 minutes, 8 seconds 3 minutes)

Firebat: Napalm Pack: Moves a preplaced wall trap[firetrap] (Places it on the location of the hero for 5 seconds, 9 seconds, 13 seconds) the trap will have high hp so it doesnt die and a low upgrade
Slick Oil: Slows random 1 enemy hero pointblank of firebat ( lasts for 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 7 seconds)
Still thinking of skill or maybe no more
Rise from the ashes Respawns hero 5 seconds after death (cooldown 5.5 minutes, 3.5 minutes)

Tassadar Templar: Psychic Phantom Creates 1 dark archon for 8 seconds (creates with 75 energy, 150 energy, 225 energy -where feedback = 75 energy and maelstorm = 150 energy)
Healing SpriteCreates medic to heal allied units (creates 1 medic with 50 mana for 7 seconds, 2 medics with 100 mana for 10 seconds, creates 3 medics with 175 for 14 seconds)
Touch of faith Converts 1 enemy, non hero unit, to the templar (cooldown 2 minutes, 1 minute 30 seconds, 1 minute)
Spilt Personality makes a duplicate of the hero as in non hallucinated(lasts for 20 seconds cooldown 6 minutes. 35 seconds cooldown 4 minutes)

Infested Kerrigan : -------- ill stop here...

This is just a sample of the hero's skill i wrote out. i could get into details but... blah tongue.gif Go play hotkey revolutions.... that reminds me... i gotta finish the other map

Some spells I always suggest

Blizzard - give enemy units to P12, it makes them look frozen
Bladestorm - create a bunch of not overly stacked permaburrowed lurkers
??? - Set enemy hp to 10%
Shadowskin - Create Arbiter over hero for a limited amout of time.
