IT'S KILLIN' TIME!
What is HunterCraft?HunterCraft is a mod by me (of course.) It runs on 1.14 and creates an entirely new gameplay type: The Hunt.
OMG! What is this strange and marvelous game type?Glad you asked
The Hunt forces the player to choose 6 out of 15 various Hunters and...well...kill stuff. The objective is not to be the last one standing, but to be the one with the most kills when only one player remains in the meantime. Players who lose all their units receive vision to all other players on the map, so they can watch the show while waiting for the score (or help other people cheat
)
OK, you've got me. What are these "Hunters" of which you speak?Hunters are, well, units. Most of them have abilities that they can use, and they all have unique sets of strengths and weaknesses. I'm pretty sure that they're quite balanced. Here's the list, ripped straight from the (currently in limbo) download page:
- Bounty Hunter
This balanced unit has a grenade-hurling ability that hurts big time. It has no real weaknesses but isn't that great. - Fumigator
This mean guy has a flamethrower and a smoke cloud power. He lacks range, though. - Jammer Mech
Sure, it's not the most powerful unit, but its Static Pulse ability destroys all energy reserves in an area--nothing to laugh at. - Hoverjet
A fast but fairly weak unit that can lay mines. - APC
It can't attack, but it can take one heck of a beating. Use it for carrying troops in dangerous areas. - Bloodhound
Fast but weak, the Bloodhound can detect cloaked units and burrow to hide itself from danger. - Landcrab
It can't attack while above ground, but when it burrows, watch out! The Landcrab has little health, though, so be careful with it... - Cannibal Serpent
Perfect for getting those annoying Skimmers and Bloodhounds, the Cannibal Serpent supplements its attack with an ability that slows its targets. - Engineer
The Engineer can warp in Defense Outposts in addition to just shooting things. You can only have 1 outpost at a time, but there's no total limit. - Tusk Beast
Fear. This sucker HURTS. Rage spins it around, doing damage to all nearby units while its target remains in range. - Blademaster
The Blademaster has ridiculously high health and attack power, but no actual ability or range. - Juggernaut
Slow but powerful, the Juggernaut can take out most enemies...if they don't escape first. - Defender
The Defender can shield allied units in addition to healing them, but its low health and lack of an attack leave it extremely vulnerable. - Warp Asasssin
The Warp Assassin can slash holes in space-time, leaving behind singularities that damage all nearby units. - Skimmer
Low on health and attack but high on speed, the Skimmer can also cloak. But watch out if there's a detector nearby...
And that's pretty much it for the hunters. Once you get 6, your Base Camp self-destructs--so choose wisely or die ignobly.
Where can I get it?Here.
