Well, if you make this mainly a terran mod then there's not a whole lot of play value to it. What's the point of playing where you are horribly imbalanced? Please don't take offense to this, just trying to provide some constructive criticism.

Sounds interesting and more advanced than most first mods. Usually people don't go into flingy on their first mod...I like your dedication. And adding an attack to the dropship? Quite impressive. As mods go overall, it's not too impressive, but for a first try, it's pretty good.

I wish you good luck with this mod. But be sure to make the units balanced, and if you wish to add more units, look at a tutorial or ask someone who knows SG/MG enough ot help you(Myself,Agamemnom, and Voyager may be most likley avaible for Grafting help). ALso, will you be adding diffrent graphics to the units?

Adding units can be done... All you have to do is replace existing un-used ones. Like neutrals, heros, etc.

Anyways, looks really fun actually. I await it's production.

Definatly sounds good for a first MoD, just remember the Modding Assistance forum is your best friend!! And for alot of those affects you said you want to do, will require Iscript.bin edits so you might want to start trying to learn that. I highly suggest you learn IceCC not Ice, use Ice if all else fails with IceCC.

Sounds cool. Im a new modder too, but my first mod is currently at .39. Check it out for some ideas or whatever, and i know a bit about dat modding if for any reason you get stuck (Cant see why as its one of the easiest things in the world but whatever.). Its good to see the number of modders is increasing. smile.gif

To all who are critisized me; i mean i'm making most changes to terran, protoss and zerg will actually be edited.

Usually, Terran owns Zerg. Protoss owns Terran. Zerg owns Protoss. I'm going to try to make it so it depends on skill, not race. smile.gif

EDIT: Don't worry about ICE. My father is one of the top 1000 programmers in the world; he can change a siege tank into a reaver in 2 seconds if he wanted to. He'll help me wink.gif

Wow, maybe he can edit starcraft complete too.

blink.gif When did that start? I've owned Protoss as Terran plenty of times. Same with the other relationships. Where are you getting this?...

I still suggest you don't ever touch Ice for these reasons:

1. It doesn't properly interpret/save the iscript format. The format it uses works...but only because of how SC is coded. It isn't the right format that you should be using.
2. Ice does not have proper opcode listings. A lot of the opcodes do not have the right size and such. The version of IceCC that ShadowFlare made has exact parameters for the opcodes, meaning you won't have a problem.
3. Ice is limiting in how you view the iscript. When you use it in a txt form, you start to see the unique and powerful possibilities that you can create with the script. The call and jump opcodes take on a whole new level of meaning that makes for amazing iscript creations.

Second of all, I notice a lot of sight increases. Just be sure to not go over the max value for sight...as you can get a really nice crash if you do.

I second that.

I've smashed many players and have been smashed by many players with the opposite of those comparisons.

Yeah, IceCC was a huge pain in the arse for me to learn. Luckily I don't use it much.

I'm having technical difficulties, and the unit list is not correct; considering i'v found a far better arsenol then what i thought it had.

I cant find the files on WinMPQ for some reason.

Chances are you need a listfile.

Listfile?

Yeah. It uh gets rid of a bunch of the uh 'unknowns' by giving them the proper filenames.

I think you can download one off this site somewhere, anyways, when you have one, to add it you go into WinMPQ and go...

Options> then go to the File Lists tab and add the list you just downloaded.

I extracted the VB files, but when i try to use my 'Add' Feature, the Units.Dat folder name pops up, i type in arr/ like what Idontchat told me to do, and then all of a sudden it says 'Runtime Error - 453. Specified DLL not found' or something along the lines of that. mad.gif
