I want to pose the question of what you first identify yourself as, barring your given name and family name.
Do you identify yourself with your country first? Or your state? Perhaps your religion?
I also want to ask you why you identify yourself in the way you do.
I consider myself British, which is a bit of a weird case because Britain incorporates 3 countries itself. For the purposes of the poll, I shall put my identification down to country, and consider England, Scotland and Wales regions of Britain.
Hi, my name is CornMuffin, and I am a canadian
I consider myself Christian because I was born in a strictly religious family. I am religious but not that much but more than average.
I classify myself by mind and mindset, which often dissolves itself into racial stereotypes but I am a very firm believer in exceptions, both for the good and the bad.
None of the above. I identify as myself.
lol Arbitrary
Well, if I am in another country, than an American.
But if I am just in another state, I would just say "I'm proud to be a Buckeye!"

Lies. You're a Moose!
If anything, I would identify myself by my philosophy. Which is not actually the same as religion, so I voted for 'other'.
So, you're saying that if a person asked you who/what you are, you'd say 'I'm a Stoic' or something?
What do you mean by philosophy.
I'm going to add political leaning as well...
In that case, "I am a man." Gender.
I am a Computer Engineering Student.
I am what I do and think.
Occupation. I kind of identify myself by it, but I more used the process of elimination. I'm certaintly not patriotic, statiotic (I know it's not a real word), or religious.
A GOD!!
Just kidding...
I identify myself as a male or an idiot.
I put down by state (Californian), but I really am not sure. I think my problem is that I really do not classify myself as anyone of those. In many of the cases (liberal, American, as well as a few others) I fit in it in regards to some aspects, but disagree with other aspects. I don't tend to classify myself by anything other than my name.
I'd first identify myself as a student and, second, as a teenager.
I really don't identify myself personally with any of those... but identify first? I would probably do some sort of hobby.. like...
I am a computer junkie, or computer nerd
If someone asks me to describe myself, or if I'm introducing myself to someone, I always start with my career choice, which is (hopefully) in the movie biz.
I am a
Creativist.
An inventor, philosopher, and artist.
Although not a writer.

Well, the way I think, what I believe about the nature of logic, morality, the Universe, etc. Certainly philosophy is not as simple as being 'a christian' or 'an atheist'.
Of course, there is also more to me than merely my philosophy. But for the purposes of this question I think that serves well enough.

I really hope you're being sarcastic.
A bunch of nonsense, huh, Jammed?
I put by occupation, but if I was in another country, I would say "I'm an American". And if I was in a Church or some religious town, I would say "I'm an ATheist". So really.. it just depends.
I'm something else.
I take on both meanings of that.
