Well we all know that it is coming and the countdown is nearing its end. I heard that this movie might not be so great due to the fact that it has new actors, but what do they know.

It looks horrible. But then, so have half the movies I actually liked.

Nonethless, movie adaptions of books that I have seen, when reading the book first, are something like 2 and 20 in my book.

I read the book and liked it though, so I'm going to see this just to see how bad it turns out. Besides, there isn't that much else opening.

The book was an awsome read, what I liked though was the age of the author. When I learned that he wrote the Eragon book at a young age it inspired me to write myslef. smile.gif I'm going to watch the movie with my gf on my b-day so if the movie sucks then My B-day will suck as well. pinch.gif

That actually depressed me. The fact that he was able to write Eragon by 18 made me feel so unaccomplished when I hit 18.

Yea same here. what is cool is that my friend is only 16 and he is a great writer, he has a chance. wink.gif I'm pretty sure the world will be hard on him though.

These child geniuses always depress me. Happy for him, of course.

I found it an awesome book, and I liked Eldest too; a bit less because of the scarcity of 'action', but both are up in my top 10 (out of a few hundred). I kind of like what I've seen from the previews about the siege of Trondheim. Reminds me of the nice little siege in LOTR and the attempted copy in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Hopefully this copy will be better made then that.

I saw Eragon today. Not too good. The plot didn't seem well put together with things just randomly happening (and a lot of painfully obvious things happening). The movie seemed like it was put together in a hurry. A sequel is also painfully obvious.

Kinda reminds me of that horrid Dungeons and Dragons film made years ago (also starring Jeromy Irons, ironically). If you haven't seen the D&D film yet, do your self a favor and pat yourself on the back. Job well done avoiding it.

As for Eragon, I'll probably still see it despite the terrible reviews.

I will not be seeing it for awhile, until I have read the book. But my friend saw it last night and once again, like all movies, they will never be better than the book. Book ftw.

I read some reviews, and I might not see it just so as to not tarnish the book.

She looked like a bat because she had feathers.

The only good part of the movie were the shots at the beginning from atop a dragon's back. I was like "omfg! soarin' over california". The movie would have been better if it was 90 minutes of that.

You can imagine you can fly:uberw00t:. I wish so much that the movie makers had done the book justice...
