Importing data from one map to another is possible.

Stuff like triggers, locations, unit placement can be transfered by using Uberation2's IEP functionality, or Clokr_'s SCM IE Importer thing.

Stuff like unit properties is still possible, but you will have to use VBVanguards "SCM Splicer". You will have to manually tell them the section names of what you want to import/export.

The section names you want would probably be.

"UNIS" (Starcraft) or "UNIx" (Starcraft: Brood War)

You would have to import and export other sections depending on if you want technology and upgrades to follow. Check out the chk format (borrowed from CC) at

Too bad my editor is still a long way from supporting this. But once it's done, it will be a simple copy-paste-compile-save.

It'll most likely take you less time to do it one by one than it would be to figure out another way to do it, given the tools present.

Whoops! I forgot to mention that unit settings include string references.

You would have to transfer the strings section as well, which would overwrite your old one. It is only really possible to transfer over the unit properties WITHOUT the strings if you don't want to loose all the old strings in your map.

If you don't mind loosing your old strings, transfer the "STR " section.

SCMDraft works for me.

I would just redo it all in a new map. if its too much to redo, i would delete everything but the unit properties and start over.

On SCMDraft go to trigger editor, the unit properties. Copy that, then paste it in ur new map and compile. Tell me if this works
