***SOLVED***

is it possible to make rescuable units move cuz i make P6 rescuable and issued order but they did not move

Thnx

***SOLVED*** (a bound level) well i'm using a rescuable player so that P6 has a "cloaked Wraith" that P1 cannot see, so when you walk by him, then he will become yurs and then a trigger that (p1 commands atleast 1 wraith, kill all men) i basically turned the P6 wraith into a motion detector BOMB

i thought it was a neat idea but oh well
thanx anyways smile.gif

You can't make them move, easy as that.

Instead of making the player rescuable and then ordering them to move, order them to move first, and then make the player rescuable with AI scripts ("Switch Computer Player to Rescue Passive") once the units are in motion. The game has nothing against having a computer player's units move, so issue the order when they're computer units. By working around giving the order while the units are actually rescuable, and making them rescuable a fraction of a second later, you can effectively make rescuable units move.

Alternatively, if you're okay with using another player as a computer, there's always the classic: give the unit to a computer player, order it, and then give it back to the rescuable player. Using this method, you can order it around as much as you want.

Also, if you like, you could just give the units to a different player rather than using the rescue setting. Personally I prefer this method for many purposes.

I see no point in a rescuable player any way if you want a unit that doesn't hurt you but can do stuff still just make it neutral now if you want it more then that make it a computer rescuable people are just stupid in my mind.

I agree with S)T-Twitch6000. Never use rescuable players. You can just make a computer that's allied instead. The computer will make everything better.

You and your principles... pinch.gif
There may very well be some reasons to use rescuable players. The fact that they are rescuable, for example ermm.gif You don't have to check for every unit if a "rescuable" (normal comp this time) is near it or the other way round.

And rescuable players are the only way you can control units of different colors.
