Staredit Network -> Staff Lounge -> Clan Policy Modification - Audits
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-12-11 at 00:55:58
Here's a slight amendment to the clan policy I suggest: audits.

Every once in a while a clan will get audited to check that they still meet the requirements. To pass:

-2 substantial maps/minor mods published in past month
-5 active members, 2 of the Regulars or better
-peace in their forum

This would provide for a solid, non-controversial basis for removing clans when the time comes that doesn't seem as coldly random. Yes, I am thinking of seeing some clans go the guillotine.

I like it, though at the moment no clans fall under that category. (U), Chef, and [MM] seem fine to keep - and I'd totally understand if you cut Oo and Mp). But Oo and Mp) both have at least 5 active members and have made at least 2 maps per month.

Why not just work on any maps. (Say the clan has such cohesion that they all work on one project, and its one massive map or something?)

That and I tend to slow mapping progress to almost a halt over the winter, due to school business.

Why do we need a formal audit procedure? I say just let anyone reccomend we look over a clan at any time and determine whether or it contributes to SEN then and there. The idea was to shift away from perpetuation of a forum by contract just because some requirements are met (even if it isn't in SEN's best interest).

You were supposed to bring this up earlier tongue.gif

Like I said before, if it's hard number that aren't met it is hard for clans to complain about losing their forum.

And suppose they do meet the numbers and there's just some other reason that we wouldn't want them here? Then it becomes defense.

It's still in the policy as an either/or thing, and besides, there would be lots of female doging no matter what the policy precedent was.

But this legitimizes some female doging.
