Hey SEN! Long time no see xD
Well, I run across this place once in a while, so I thought I'll post a map I finished making not long ago -
Sunken Defense PRO.
This is a map based on the 10-WAY genre, no cheat, no terrainal maze, which I liked a lot more than the crap we see so often these days...
Plus, unlike other Sunken Defense maps, this one is actually hard.
Instead of just getting a lot of one unit which is the best unit in the map and upgrading it than every stage watching your defense doing nothing special other than getting more units, this map makes you have to micro in order to win.
I also went back in time a bit, by using older systems (like using civilians per cash, rather than one choosing civilian and mins & gas as cash) in order to make this feel more like the older 10-way sunkens.
Anyway, lets get to the meat of this; The map features 6 basic units that are all different from each other in their gameplay; using Siege Tanks & Archons or Lurkers & Zealots doesn't feel the same.
The map also allows you to get a Queen(Ensnare) or Arbiter(Stasis) that can both be useful at the higher stages.
My goal was to make the map as micro dependant as possible. I feel I didn't achieve this goal yet, however, I'm getting there.
For future releases, I have a few features in mind that I'd like to add, and I'd like to hear your opinions;
First, I'd like to hear how do you like the map as it is now. I played it myself with friends and with pubbies, and it was quite fun either way, but felt a bit dull at points when losing again and again due to 1 person that sucked. So my suggestion is, try to hook up as many people you know when you play this map and than use pubbies as a filler (you can't beat this map with less than 6 people, too hard), so that your team keeps improving with each game rather than be recreated with new people who'll do the same mistakes again and make you lose.

The features I thought about adding in future releases are:
1. The ability to turn Sunkens back into Drones, thus being able to change the looks of your defense if you messed up, or to change tactics according to the level and the unit's speeds, which may add another strategy element to the game.
2. Adding the option to select a difficulty level out of 3, when 'hard' = 100% hp, 'medium' = 75% hp, and 'lol noob' = 50% hp. This map wasn't intended for noobs, so this feature won't really belong in it; however it might make the map more b.net friendly, so iunno.
