Storyline / Introduction

This game will bring a new feel to modern time warfare on starcraft with using strong ai scripting to give the computers on the teams sides, more inteligence for example say... Place land mine here... a bot will then come to your location and place a mine but after that order is done, he will continue with his main objective.

To give a strong feel of warfare ... i shall try to construct it in extended terrain and perfectly made ... soo we shall have stuff like ... pill boxs and trenches for you to cover in ... interiors for the bunkers and pill boxes shall be constructed.

Soo far, the ideas are all over the place.
ill sort out the list of weapons and classes sometime bellow.

we will have these kinds of orders.

Almost everybody's using AK-74 now.

How about viechles that you can controll?

How will you specify the location, where the robot must take some actions?

tanks and stuff will be added once i get the terrain sorted , cause the tanks might not get around tight roads... gotta get it just right.

There is already a map named Art of Defence, you might want to rename yours something different compare to the other map (If people played that game before, then you map will be the worst on bnet if you name it same as the other map.)

And it's the exact same name too.

i suggest you add in realistic ammo, that would be cool, however you would have to add vHP.

btw how are you going to use all of those guns when their is only a certain amount of terran units for sc? are you gonna use like dark swarm or something?

My point is that if people on Bnet saw the title Art of Defence, no one will join it, because it is dull and boring from their memories.

Also the map will overlap.
Ex: I make game with your map, someone joins, dls it then leave. He goes to another game called Art of Defence he will dl that and thus erasing your map.

I'd really recommend choosing a different name for it. Art of Defense is really a well-known map.. especially years ago, it used to be one of the most popular maps out there. Also, it really was a very simple game, too, so it will definitely be a misleading title if you copy its name for your map.

It does look like a battlefield. Also, I will ask. How are you gona do the ammo system ? AND, how will you make the triggers to take cover ?

the ammo system will be based around the usage of gas.
usual machine guns starts with 30 bullets and when a unit is within viewing site of an enermy... he will fire but only at a random set of a 1/4 second or a second to make it seem like he is trying to get the shot right.

ADDITION:
and the triggers to take cover i shall be using a grid... they will scater to points 5, 10, 9, 4, 2 on a clock scale.
they will be set a place to go to but if they cant reach that spot then they will cover from whatever they can.
plus those crators... easy to avoid you say happy.gif the explosion range is 8x7
and also their will be a neat little machine gun turret on the pill boxs ive constructed on the beach walls.

atm im not sure where xguy is cause he hasnt responded to my msgs in awhile.

Tell me, at about what year does the action take place? You shouldn't have AK-47 if you have a robot following your orders. Maybe you mean AK-74? wink.gif

no ak-47 pretty good in comparison to the ak-74
and the year is mainly around 1998-2006

Yeah, art of combat makes more sense because you arent really defending anything.
