Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> cpu intelligence

I made a cat vs mouse with a cpu cat, but the cat always seems to be a retard. I tried strategic and random suicide, custom zerg map, and a few others. The smartest seems to be random suicide, but even at that it will not know how to go around hills when there is a mouse hole in front of it. Can anyone help me make the cpu smarter?

Use triggers.

Hmm try revealing the map to the cats ...

Computer AI isn't always going to be great, but you can always use smaller units which can pass through the "mouse holes" such as hydras and zerglings on harder levels in your cat and mouse game.

You can also use air, which can bypass any wall.
I've played a v of cat and mouse cpu cat. The cats just run around and do nothing, then you kill them. Then all these guardians show up. And you kill them. By that point you leave...

Thanks everyone, I'll try that. And spines, I didn't really need that.

You could actually use triggers for a custom AI... for a cat vs mouse game it wouldn't be that hard to set something good up.

Custom AI Triggers is probably the most efficient way of doing what you're trying to do.

You could try programming your own cat "intelligence" via placing some kind of checkpoints (locations) on crossroads and try to handle it using triggers.
