I guess instead of writing a poem as I had posted in Shocko's post, I think I'll write something else instead.

"Where do you put your clean dishes?"
"Wait. What? No, you're not doing my dishes at my my house."
"No, it's okay, I can do it." She insisted.
"No, no, no. I'll do my own dishes, you've already helped me cook." I said with protest.
"... You're not going to do your dishes." She looked at me with dull, yet teasing eyes.
"You're probably right, but I still don't want you to do them."
"No, really, I'll do them."
After a few more battles of my protest and her persistance, I gave in. "Fine, I'll wash and you can rinse."
"It'd probably be better if I washed and you rinsed."
"... Fine."

I win. Yep.

Perhaps it was the constant run of water, or just the rhythm of the soft scrubbing, but at the moment, I felt a warmth I've not for years. We began exchanging stories of our past. If only I could remember the stories, though. All that had gone through my head was how thoughtful this woman was. That, and how could any guy not want to do dishes with someone he loves?

The sun gleamed in from the sliding door-window and she seemed to glow with the warmth that I feel with such familiarity. And even though I see brown eyes everyday, my own, hers seemed to be beyond just eyes. They seemed to speak hope, care, a slight bit of fear, but mostly of love.

"So how old were you then?" She asked.
"Huh?" I snapped out of my daydream and replied a not-so-decent answer.
"Really? That's... interesting."

We continued to do the dishes. The water continued to flow, the scrubbing at a steady pace, and my heart hopes while my mind wanders.

I guess I was attempting to do a.. I don't even know what these are called, but just an appreciation of everyday life I guess. And if you guys were wondering, that was how I spent my afternoon... yesterday. She was helping me make sushi because I didn't know anything else other than that it involves rice and seaweed. We were making it for a party later that night (which continued until just about an hour ago), but she called to say she couldn't make it... right after a cop pulled me over a few things. Funny how it can all come together and fall apart in just one day.

At first I was reading and was like
"what is this person smoking? hook me up tongue.gif" and then i kept reading and saw how to some extent it is realistic. Not an A* piece of writing ill confess, but definitely interesting. Sorry to hear about you getting arrested, I am yet to of been arrested. I do however have a reprimand for common assault, that was quite funny.

oh I wasn't arrested, there were just some things wrong with the car happy.gif I was barely even thinking when I wrote this, but what I was really trying to achieve was to make a realistic moment sound surreal, but I guess I'll have to work harder on that. I should really go back to writing..
