sprites are bbbbaaaaaaaddddddddd.....

i'm about 50% sure that that can be accomplished without sprites(or at least fewer of them)

OMG sprites. Maybe just try to blend it? tongue.gif

I know for a fact theres alot of blends around that could help you. Look at the hall of fame or talk to WoodenFire, as jungle is his tileset.

:\ As said less sprites, I personally think if you can't avoid using that many sprites you should stick with regular isom, or get someone to do the terrain for you.

Terrain looks beautiful, but too many sprites were used. Still.. it's nice to look at.

Try to blend it instead of using sprites...

I like it I just think you overdid it with the sprites. Pretty cool though. 4/10.

too many sprites.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lord-Omega on 2006-12-29 at 14:50:48
It looks awesome, but way to many sprites, you have like 100 sprites there and only need like 10 if that, alot of what you coverd up can be fixed

3/10

Would all the sprites cause a lag issue? If it will, I'll attempt to fix it up.

Too much sprites (No soda pun used), But still looks good WITH them.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Falkoner on 2006-12-31 at 18:09:01
Nah, they shouldn't cause a lag problem, at least not yet, but I would try to alternate with the rock sprites, you could make it look more natural that way. And you probably could find one or two tiles that could replace other things, Try looking at the bridge tiles because they have some good joins to dirt and water.

Other than the total coverup of sprites you did well, ill give u a 6/10

This is good i like it, and so what i got max of 255 sprites and you raise the max of it. I have tested maps to see how far you can go with sprites and as long as they don't always come in contact or exceed 350 you fine. The only thing i would change would be to make it the same on both sides, you gotta move the statue alittle more down and right. 8/10

Yes, it will. And all those sprites won't make your map look very professional, either. I am 100% sure that you can do that entire piece without sprites.

The rock sprites by the bridge are fine, its just the tree sprites all over. Looks unnatural. I'm sure if you search long enough, you'll find proper cliff tiles that blend. You also might wanna try to patch up the high-to-low terrain without using those statues. smile.gif
