Ok i read the little tutorial thing about controlling scarabs and i added it into a map im working on as a spell. So like say the spell was called death ball or something like that.
So with your little dropship you would unload death ball when u get enough mana (vespene Gas)
Then all the triggers act getting a reaver to shoot in some area of the map where noone can see then getting the little scarab and moving it to the spell caster dude but then heres the problem. I triggered the scarab to move away from the hero towards enemies but the little scarab doesnt explode to deal damage making it a totally useless addition to the game. I would really appreciate it if someone could give some hints on how to make the little scarab "deathball" to explode and deal damage.
Note: The spells i am trying to add are not supposed to be "Insant Kill" spells and i wont be using virtual hitpoints either seeing as tho there are mass amounts of units in the game.
Any Help On how to solve the Problem?

As I understand scarabs, they'll only hurt the enemy and anything around the enemy that was targetted. I could be mistaken though.
Perhaps you could try setting the enemy of the player to be the enemy of the computer Reaver as well?
i really don't know, but i think if you 'let go'(stop issuing commands via triggers) of the scarab, it'll revert back to its own pathfinding AI and attack the enemy. just a hunch though
check out
Scarab D's triggers. Joker managed to use scarabs, but I think he simply used the scarab as a display, not as a damaging tool. I think he killed units via triggers.
the scarab wont attack when u move it. gg
Vic is correct, at least to my knowledge.
Umm this might sound crazy, but can you make take a defiler swarm, and all the units in the swarm gets taken into a place with a reaver, and move both the scarab and the unit back when the reaver shoot?
Just some ideas.
