My Mouse
Alright, when I first bought it, I plugged it into my mouse port and it worked fine. Its been working fine until just recently. I was playing CS:S when suddenly I couldn't aim or fire. I looked at my mouse and the red light was off. After it kept happening, I stopped playing the game and went on MSN Messenger. Long story short, it died... My mouse port is fried or something because my default computer mouse and the new mouse don't work when plugged into the port. Because the mouse has a USB plug, I put it in one of the USB slots on my computer. It still works only every now and then, it'll turn off, sometimes several times within 10 seconds... Idk wth the problem is and its making me annnnnnngrrry! Any of you techies know whats the matter?

heres my technique: buy a new one.

also, do not get an optical laser mouse, they are the worst type of mouse you can possibly buy because more can go wrong with it. your best to go with a ball mouse.

Um. Sure, lots can go wrong with an optical mouse, but they're still the best ones. You don't need to clean them, they're wireless much more often, they're more sensitive, and you don't need a mousepad. Might as well use a horse-drawn wagon instead of a car tongue.gif

Pyro_Maniak: have you checked the batteries?

That's not true. I've had 2 optical laser and two ball mouses die on me.

Try another USB port. Also install the drivers for it (that might help, I don't know). If all of that doesn't work, buy a new mouse.

That'd be awesome if you would get store credit for a better mouse. For mice right now, I'd definitely go with just about any $20+ logitech out there. Keyboards are really still debatable - I absolutely love my Microsoft Natural 4000 - as I know people enjoy a wide range of keyboards. I've heard that people have more problems with Razor mice (and whatever smaller brands that are out there) than Logitech and Microsoft, and Logitech definitely makes the best.

But there are still some neat gimicky mouses out there.

*Cough Mus2 Cough*

I'd rather go for a fancy keyboard than mouse, I have the same one as the OP and it works fine.

Youd still need to add in your own money but from you can get the amount of money you paid for it back if you have the recept and the box is in somewhat good shape... It does require a bit of persuasion tho
