Alright, so the Quad FX doesn't have a pretty outlook right now. I believe the best bet would be (if you were to get Quad FX) to get dual FX-70's for about $650 right now. However, the power consumption would still be astronomical for processors. IMHO, AMD should have waited for K8L to release "Quad FX." Ugh! Now I'm wishing that I had waited a few more months for the releases of K8L, R600, and RD600! I can only hope this system stands the test of time for the next few years.

If you're getting dual fx-70's, I don't think you need to worry about power consumption. But yeah... AMD said it's not going to be doing what Intel is.. basically a rerun of the mhz wars, just with cores this time... AMD is thinking outside the box.. with the Fusion.. and I forget what else they are doing...(i'll post it later..)

But is that a good thing? I don't know... AMD might just lose the battle betweem AMD and Intel... which is a shame sad.gif
