I'm planning on getting the wii as soon as they come back in stock. but is it seriously worth it or should i just get the 360?
Let's ask the people...
"...And as we can see, the Nintendo Wii is outselling the PS3 10 to 1, and the Xbox360 9 to 1..."
That's from a gaming mag I have. So yes, you should get the Wii, just like I did.
Wat do you mean if a Wii is worth it ? It only costs 250$ Its fun to play but if your getting a Wii get Legend of Zelda.
It is Wii not Wiiiiiiiii, no need for that.
I plan on getting a Wii when I get a job ( waiting on my imigration paper work ) and the games that are out now, don't define what is yet to come, so getting the console for the sake of getting the console is why you should get it, expect bad games and good games.
Wii is awesmoe. Just dont break your new HDTV with that remote. LOL

It was only a few remotes in North America that did that, so there's a 99% chance that the strap won't break I hate the wii and I will never buy it... The design isn't sleek like a real controller should be, it's annoying when you play sports games like tenis or baseball and it is oversensitive, and who honestly plays video games to get a "workout" in which the wii intends to reduce obesity... :wtf:

The responses are sensitive so that you don't have to stand up and flail your arms about. People choose to do that.
lol chuiu.
How does it give you a workout...V_V
I got the wii for christmas.
It is so awsome it is way better than the ps3 and 360. besides you probaly wont find a ps3 for like a month or so. The only people who get a workout with the wii are probably really stupid or way into the wii system. by the way ps3 sucks.

It gives you a workout if you're an idiot and flail your arms about like people in the videos.

ZOMG Let me guess ur a Nintendo fanboy? Just cause you cant get a PS3 doesnt mean you have to hate. Also you work your arms out in some games like Wii sports for boxing over time that is.

Unless you buy games that require tons of flailing and such, you will not get a work out. Look at Excite Truck. You move your hands about as much as you would be if you were driving a car. And driving a car isn't considered a workout.
Well then, if you don't want to have a workout, don't flail your arms out like an idiot when playing. Simple as that.

You mean, thank god that alot of people that didnt break their TVs weren't stupid. Others who were retarded thought the straps were indestructable and while playing something like baseball, through their remote as hard as they could. And then WHAM! TV broke.
To be fair, Nintendo said the straps would hold and the earlier ones failed.
Get it. It's awesome.
Also I can't believe people are arguing about it not giving a workout. You can for the most part just flick your wrist. Even for things like golfing or baseball. I personally love Wii Boxing and i love getting into it. So much fun and you can really start to sweat. I love boxing and theres no other way to box around here(minus im drunk at my brothers). If you really afraid of getting a little sweaty then you gotta get out some more.
Ask yourself if it is worth it or not. A question like that is too vague to answer.
There are some things the Wii does that the 360 doesn't and vice-versa.
Perhaps you want a larger section of FPS games. 360.
Or perhaps you want some original titles like smash bros. Wii.
It's your choice.
Or maybe you enjoyed the games that came out on PS2, and you want them to see them on PS3. PS3.

Except there were very few exclusives for PS2, and probably the only one that PS3 will have is FF13.
Get a Wii if you want it, or if you want to do this.
Plus look at all the games coming out this year.
LOL DRAGONBALL Z ROX.[/sarcasm] (Incase chuiu didn't see)
I want the Wii for Legend Of Zelda. It doesn't look as good for the GC.
Yup, very few exclusives. Lets look at that 'few': Final Fantasy games (3), Grand Turismo games (3), Guitar Hero (2), ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Tekken series (3), Devil May Cry series (3), Time Crisis (2), Armored Core series (8), Twisted Metal, Soul Calibur 3, Star Ocean, God of War (2), and I'm just going to stop the list here I just pulled these off the top of my head I'm sure theres more.
I didn't list any crapty exclusives, just the good games, as you can see. And you can be sure the PS3 will have just as many (hell they already have a great exclusives lineup for this year - Warhawk, Resistance, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Armored Core, Grand Turismo, Devil May Cry, Killzone, etc).
Yeah, you better go with a 360 or a Wii if you don't like any of those games. As for me, I like them all and will be looking forward to getting a PS3 sometime.
DBZ is a crapty game, who the hell wants to fight as characters from an overly repetitive lame anime.

Or umm...if the Wii or 360 or both combined have games that are more appealing?
Overall most games don't feel innovative enough for me anymore....which is why i prefer the Wii.

I want it because I'm one of the idiots that loves flailing my arms around. The more flailing, the better.
The only exclusives for PS3 I'd be interested in on that list are Resistance and Metal Gear Solid, although I am looking forward to getting a 360 some time in the future. Most current gen systems are aways off for me, so i go back to waiting for Spore.
ok all you fanboys out there... shut the hell up
i just wanna clear that every system out there is going to have its pros and cons and not one is: "OMFG!!11! B3St3st SYSTm EVAR!!!1"
it depends on you... ill give you my thoughts on each console(considering i have a wii... and planning on getting a 360)
Nintendo Wii
Great, Fun, Party System for casual gamers and non-gamers alike. The wiimotes motion sensoring capabilities are amazing. I especially like it because the sensing is so sensitive you don't have to do a full golf stroke or sword slash to get the job done if you don't want to... but if you do... go for it. For the cheapest system out there on the market for the newest generation... it is worth its $250 price tag considering how lousy the graphics are. I mean, nintendo games for the console fully utilize the systems graphical and motion sensoring capabilities but the third party titles, it seems, just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. If your patient and can wait for more nintendo games to come out and for third party publishers to finally get the wiimote... get it. Wii Sports and Zelda are amazing for it... so you would have something to do while you wait. Also, it can be run on a normal tv which is good considering the ps3 and 360 has to have hdtvs to fully utilize the systems graphics.
Microsoft Xbox 360
For the hardcore online gamer. Amazing graphics and game titles. Since its been out for almost a year before the wii and ps3... the game library is considerably larger which is a huge bonus. It can play HD-DVDs if you get the entertainment pack and can come with the normal tv av cable or the hdtv av cable which wont make everyone go out and buy a hdtv just to be able to play it. It fully utilizes its wireless controller which is a great feature. For $400 it's worth it considering the $300 pack is just a regular xbox with a little better graphics and different game titles (300pack comes with wired controllers and only the normal tv av cables). The xbox first introduced online play for consoles and the 360 continues with the fashion. the online plays looks great for great looking games on this console. So basically it's for Online gamers with HD-TVs.
Sony PlayStation 3
The PS3. Theres been alot of bashing toward this console ever since its hit the market. Maybe for good reason. Disc Failures, Overheating, and system crashing have been reported all over the US. But is the $600 price tag worth it? I think so. I believe it has slightly better graphics than the 360, even if some say they look the same, and it does have motion sensing, if limited, with wireless controllers. And the all anticipated Blu-Ray player feature. Sounds a little too much rite? Possible not. With Blu-Ray players going for more than a grand in the US... the PS3 is looking pretty good rite now. But only for the hardcore sony fanboy gamers. Sony's marketing campaign basically stated this: If you're going to buy a wii for $250(motion sensing) and a 360 for $400(graphics) then why don't you just buy a ps3 for $600 that has both motion sensing capabilites and graphics plus blu-ray?
Each has its ups and downs. Nintendo sacrificed graphics for gameplay like always, and Microsoft went with brute force processing. Sony went for the same gambit adding the new video software (PS2-DVD:PS3-BluRay).
