Today I got home from a normal day of school, I threw my back pack by my bed and I turned on my computer. I watched as it kept starting... shutting off... and trying to start again. It turns out my processor was fried ermm.gif .

I am just letting ya know that I probably wont be on Battle.net for quite some time, seeing as I must save up for a new computer, and I only make about $90 a week. Once I can afford, I will then have to order a new one.

THUS, I doubt I will be on at all for atleast a month. See you then.

P.S. I'm very angry. lol

90 a week for a month is like 360 dollars, will that actually get you a computer?

Would it be cheaper to just fix your old one? I suggest going Dell, I've had this for many many years, and it's never failed me. You can get a solid dell for like 600$ too.

Dells are pretty nice. I'd suggest you get a Dell also. My neighbor has had his Dell for years and it still works nice. Gl man.

lol...

If you buy a processor that fits in the socket of your motherboard, you can replace it.. but you need a heatsink/fan on your processor.. or else it'll fry up in 30 seconds or so..

Follow a step by step guide to putting together your own computer... and then buy the correct parts and put one together yourself...

Or you can buy a DELL, with worse performance, more expensive, and less lee-way for future upgradabillity, and never attain the knowledge of how to put together a computer...

So what are you going to do with every other piece that you aren't going to be using from your old computer... ship it to me happy.gif

Well the problem with buying a new processor is that my mother board is horrible. My brother told me, he has some computer knowledge, that I'm better off just getting a new computer.

Good news though, I just ordered a Dell online. 1GB Ram (Ext. to 4GB), Pentium D (I had a celeron), and some other good specs. It should be here some time next week, and it cost me around $600... lol Solar. I read your post and laughed.

Also deathhawk, I wanted to build my own computer, I had all the parts picked out, even a kick-*ss tower bleh.gif , but my mom doesn't trust my brother, who would be putting it together. So instead, I spent about $200 more on a computer thats about equal.

I appreciate all of your help everyone. Thankyou for all of your suggestions. happy.gif

PeaCe~

Addition: Hawk, my original plan was to build my own computer so I could use the good parts from the old one, but I think I'll give what I can to my mom and sell everything else that's worth anything.

ADDITION:
My new computer should be here Wednesday! Uber w00t for me. I'm pretty excited. See you then!
