Yes... that's right... POKEMON RPG FOR STARCRAFT! AHHH!!

Cheeze(U) (and maybe some others) are making a fully functional Pokemon RPG (based on blue and red version), it will include nearly exact maps, level ups to 100 for every pokemon, evolutions, cut-scenes, and more!

Can I help? Like give ideas and everything... cuz I tried to make this, but gave up halfway... anyways... no blood, make many pokeballs... square terrain, and u can't make the whole version on one map, unless you aren't going to put every pokemon in it...

i can help too. i used to be a pokemon red+blue master till it got boreing. i knwo all the secrets, missingo, places, gymleaders, just ask ill tell.

Bleh, I don't care much for Pokemon myself, but atleast the ideas for the creatures themselves are interesting... except for the water ones...

Well, just try to give it half interesting gameplay, so that some ppl will actualy play it. I don't care what it's based on, as long as it's fun

i think pokemon would have been great if only it wasnt geared towards little kids
and as for the map i think u could have lots of fun creating the buildings and terrain u could use towers but all the pokemon stats will be time consuming

If its gonna be as close as to the original games, but Im interested to see a decent Pokemon map then.

Turn based combat, I take it? Like you get special moves for each pokemon that you can use, like tackle and defend and stuff, like the real game.

hmm there r LOTS of things in pokemon, u think ull have enough strings???

And im 99% sure you give up making this map. Long map like these seem to not make it to battle.net.

Im pretty sure this map would have to span across at least 2 maps... I lost my Pokemon guide but there is tons of crap to deal with: Levels, Moves, Evolutions, Cut-scenes, Poke-Ball catch rate, Power balancing, oh... and after your done with all that, it might take a 3rd map to get out all the bugs you have -.-

edit: maybe it could be some huge community map where each person does a certain thingy... such as:





we could just save the triggers and merge them into one huge map, it might need a whole team devoted to unbugging the triggers

this reminds me of the game maker forums, its a program that lets u make ur own games, they make pokemon clones and ppl have their own development teams they even rip sprites from the actual game

it's most likely going to be single player

Sounds cool... i was gonna make a map like that but i got bored and gave up like a quarter of the way through(haha i do that with most of my maps)... anyway turn based combat sounds cool... i made a map that i actually managed to finish where you could pick a dude and kill ppl and stuff and it was turnbased and you had spells and moves and my toes are cold...

Pogaymon is so ké that it has no real meaning. I'm hoping Yu-Gay-Oh, My, what another Crap Anime series? dies out rather quickly. I love Hellsing! Long live real anime! LoL, how will you have each Pokemon level up? Will you allow us to have the "libraries" or whatever of 300 Pokemon? Will you have totally random encounters with the like (1000?)+ Pokemon? Are you going to have gay heals, where all your Pokemon heal for free? What about Pidget, or w/e. Will the bird be able to take you instantly anywhere?

Will you incorporate all areas in the games you mentioned? Will you try to wrap in some things from the many movies? What about the TV series? Will you succeed in making the first non-gay Pokemon map, nay, non-gay Pokemon PRODUCT? I hope so, because back in the day (when I was like 8) I had THREE Charizard cards, one which was a First Edition : ) LoL, I sold them to some fat guy for $175. That's how I got my N64, Bless the Legend of Zelda. Maybe once consoles get keyboards and mice, and have fully operational OS on them, maybe then I'll go back to consoles. Until then, I stick with the by-far technically superior Personal Computer, which I can literally update as far as my cash can go!

Woa, he said only pokémon Red and/or blue, which means 151 Pokémon, not 1000+, and this will be very interesting, I used to love those games, please post some screenies soon .
