Hi there! Im finishin' my LOTR map,i already done like the 95% of the triggers and terrain but now i cant' play it becouse fo lag
.I putted all my patient,hard work and exp on it and now nothin'.When i try it whitout CPU i fell into the despair...
After all that work,when i was triyin' and testin' the map whit my friends the game crush down disconnectin' everyone.At the beginin' i thoguth that could be the songs,coz i putted like 6 LOTR Themes.I fixed the problem deletin' all the songs,but when i try whit Orcish Forces,the problem started again.I think that the problem cna be the buildings of the orcs,coz they have got all Western Osgiliath in flames (40hp) and gondor not.In the other hand,Gondor,have got more units and buildings and works.
So how can i fix the problem whit the orcish lag?

Map lag can be from massive amounts of units, and massive amounts of triggers being constantly overlapped together. Also playing more than one music wave, or a music wave many times in a short period of time (before it/they are finished) will create lag. I suggest trying to remove some units and see if the lag persists, if it still does then possibly remove/add back music and see if it makes a difference, and continue this until you finally fix the problem. If you want the members of SEN to do it for you, then you're going to need to post the map.
What nobody said, and especially if mass number of units are stack unborrowing, lets say you stack 140 burrowed lings on top of each other, when you tell them all to unborrow at the same time, they will create MASSIVE lag. Oh yea, if you are talking about game lobby lag (as in slow dl) that's probably the WAVS.
Slow download would be because of the wavs, but I don't think that's what he is referring to. Massive amounts of units doing lots of actions on the map is what causes this type of lag. I had always believed it was because the uploading system for player-player in starcraft is very slow.. or, the same reason that maps take so long to transfer.
Try a compression and/or protect in uberation... see if it makes a difference. If not, just reduce the units.
Are you using computers? because massive amounts of units unburrowing could be because computers are burrowing their spawned units until some enemy gets close, then they all unburrow causing massive lag.
Hi there! thanks for the anwer people! well i deleted some units and buildings.Should be the large amoutn of units.I removed the flames/fire effects of the Osgiliath buildings,coz i think that can make lag too! (also whit the songs,and themes)
Ill try to test the map whit other guy for see if is the flames buildings effect and the units.I hope that the map works now...

If you want to know what couses the lag you should:
1)Remove all Units, Save as another file and cheak if it lags
if not then
2)Remove all Triggers, Save as another file and cheak if it lags
if not then
3)Remove all Sounds, Save as another file and cheak if it lags
Here is another idea go to the files downloads here in sen and look for the uber thing it compresses your map and it works very well execpt if you have wavs then you might want to make sure u have a xtra save file of your map so you know where to put your wavs.but that uber program works very well for compressing.
I've saw maps terribly large in space amount and they are no lagged.
Maybe he used too many triggers at the same time, or maybe there are too many action in the map.
I don't know why, but starcraft run slow sometimes even with high computer resources
