Ive seen several tricks in UMS maps that ive played and Id like to know how to do them for any future maps that I make.

1)Unit's portrait is always static
2)faster then normal unit movements / attacks
3)how to make buildings into a "Disabled" status / invisable ( Im not sure if invisable buildings are a result of disablement )

To the question no. 3.

When disabling, a unit may go into one of several states, this is shown in the latter link.

To 'disable' a unit, got to the trigger, set doodad state, and disable it. Depending on the unit, sc might crash, become invisable, glitch, and other effects.

ADDITION:
For number 2, use one of the extended player effects. In the normal game of sc there are 8 players. In reality there are over 255 of them. Placing units of certain players will result in speeding up the map. Don;t ask me.. Ask Hemandi or somone like that.

1. Hypertriggers (wait 0, and preserve) maybe one of the tutorials in the previous post was for it? If not, look it up). Then display a unit portrait for 0 seconds and preserve that.
2. 1.14 patched it.
3. Disable Doodad State.
From my testing that I did long ago, these are the nice buildings with just a disable:

I'm pretty sure the map revealer will still give 1.5x speed, but all the others i know crash the game.

Doom covered number 1, and Felino covered number 3.

Be sure when you use display unit portrait that you pick a unit that will never show up on the map. Otherwise, you will get an onslaught of minimap pings.

Not last time I checked.
And map revealer never sped anything up but the animation.

2. the units previously used to speed up the effects are now useless, but increased speed can still be achieved, don't ask me what unit, i forget pinch.gif

what does this mean? is it unit action sped up but not the speed of movement?
I tried some testing from the 12+ Players tutorial and when i tried it on a map it always crashes me when i place units for player 14, for the 2x and 4x speed

- I figued out the static portrait and the disabled buildings, but id like to know more about this action speed
