Yeah, can someone teach me how to make custom spells, or link to some tutorials? Because, I checked out one on this site, but the guy who wrote it has absolutely horrible English, it gave me a head ache. Thanks in advance.

what exactly do you want to do?!?!? Cause editing the spells themselves is hardcoded. But making them into funky attacks isnt that hard.

Which part of making the spell do you need? Do you want to give a unit a button to cast a spell it doesn't normally have? Or do you just want to edit an existing one?

As to the button adding part check Corboland's tutorials.

And you can mix that with GRP editing (for new graphics) and datedit or iscript for more effects, displaying overlays damaging, bullet type and others..
what exactly were you thinking of?

I assume he means editing the spells, like Voy's Surveyor Attack and KK's Fire spells in IC.

That's right. For the example, let's just say I want to change Lockdown into a missle that does 9999 damage. I think I can get the grafting part right on my own though.

For that you will only have to edit weapons.dat set the ammount to 99999999 w/e and done... If you don't want to use lockdown (since it locks units down) you can use another spell like optical flare and change the bullet sprite to a missile and take out the optical flare properties and set the dmg to 9999.

It's pretty easy, all you want is on weapons.dat

Here's a little guide:

Find the weapon of the spell. In this case, lockdown. You can either find it in the list, or go through the order/tech it is used by. Change the lockdown's explosion to whatever you want it to be, set the damage, and you're done.

Have fun.

Note: To remove the lockdown, you MUST change the lockdown's explosion setting.

laugh.gif I just realized that I had gone over this in the Simple DatEditing tutorial in my siggy. You might want to go there for a slightly more detailed (but a bit outdated :/) tutorial that goes over a different way to do it.
