On a related note, every single retailer I've been to has had a PS3 display. That had an error message. That's like 19 broken PS3s.

Funny. Nintendo realeased more Wii's than PS3s. But still there are more ps3s at the stores but Wii's. I love Wii, ive got one!

that's not much of a surprise that a Wii would win the battle. most of the people already knew it would be a big success over a ps3. people are looking forward to a lot of games for the Wii. most of the games that came for the Wii are addictively fun. Zelda, sports, and a few others i've played are.

Around New Year's, Woot! was selling PS3s, claiming that they wanted the money so they could buy Wiis for everyone at the office. Some of the highlights of their description, IIRC:

Wii's are intensely sweet. They had a great starting line up for games, where as the PS3 had... Virtually no games that were only on that system. So why spend 700$ and change for games that you can get on a system for 250$? (Canadian money here). So its not a suprise Wii won.

Well they had a few like Resistance, Untold Legends and maybe a few more. Just wait till later on where PS3 gets their exclusives, then it will win.

Nintendo did good. Sacrificing Graphics for Gameplay to produce a low costly system was a smart martket choice.

Microsoft did well also. Creating a standard game console for a price only $100 more than last generation's consoles was smart.

Sony produced a good system... maybe for ten years from now. People just aren't willing to spend $600 on a console yet and Blu-Ray hasn't even started to get a foothold in the market.

I really would have gotten a wii if it wasn't for the difficult controls and having no online. I just couldn't bare to lose my chance at doom 4 on 360 so i got myself that. By far, if doom wasn't on 360, i would have gotten a wii for i love all zelda games.

Yea..a new system that is better than the reg. Xbox and ps2 for a price that is affordable. Who wouldn't buy it? Nintedo maybe thought this out? Good job

I'm sure that looking online would be worse becuase you'd end up buying it for more than it's worth.

Man,I feel so special having a wii.All of my friends want one but they cant find any

I was lucky,i got mine a week ago at target they had 3left.The 3 were gone in less than 5min.LOL.

Well depends if you buy it in a bundle. They gave you Wii Points card for buying it at Walmart.com
