I'm sick of healing on starcraft....you can get ran over by a car, take out your first aid kit and BAM! your back to normal...
I don't expect anyone to use the following concept but i just throwing it out there..

Realistic Healing

Its based off of types of wounds and the materials used to heal or cure them...

Cuts - Bandages
Bruises and Other Closed Wounds- Ice Pack
Broking Bones - Splint
Punctures or Other Open Wounds - Antibiotics/Searing Knife & Stitches
Poison - Antidote

In other words, you need certain materials for certain wounds...
You can have a Medical Kit to put the materials in as you find/buy them
And if you don't fix the wound, u could bleed to death...(not for like a cut where u just lose hp, but a Puncture)

and then have the players wait a realistic month for their broken bones to heal...
Sounds fulfilling... boxed.gif

That sounds like it would be a beast to try and trigger. The game would have to somehow remember WHAT unit did a certain kind of damage to your unit. And if you don't have the characters healing for a realistic amount of time (weeks, months, and some injuries are permanent), then labeling it "realistic healing" doesn't really work anymore.

The bone part is bad but everything else is good. If someone made a survival map using those types of wound healings it would be realistic. And to fix the bone part every minute was a day so it would take a certain amount of minutes (days) for it to get healed depending on how badly the bone was broken.

Also, for the bone thing to work, you would have to "realisticaly" decide which bone was broken and have a negative effect for each, i.e. leg- slowed walk... arm- no firing weapon?... back- paralyzed??.

as long as you don't get extremely specific(such as deciding which vertebrae are broken ), it should be too bad to do. if you just did body area(legs, chest, head) calculations, it'd be simply accomplished.
