Ok, I have been working this week on a project that has been draining my energy and time. Before anyone guess, YES I did use the terrain of a Blizzard map that I modified. Yes, I might be cheap, but I did credit Blizzard for the terrain.

Anyway this map is starting to confuse me and I am getting thoughts of doing the thing over... So far I have included many features:

- health is read on the leaderboard as custom and you may lose some when your lurker dies, minerals = money, gas = fuel

- 3 Heroes to select from at the start

- battle arena where you can battle enemies with your friends

- randomized creature number (you may fight 1-4 enemies when you touch one in the main world)

- randomized damage (you may lose 5, 10, 20, or even 0 damage whenever you lose a lurker)

- item and spell areas (you can alternate between menus with your civilian, item areas can also be used outside of battles)

- item shop with 5 items

- droid shop (spells) with 9 buyable droids (spellcasters)

- mercenary camp with 5 recruitable classes

- fuel station (buy gas), and medical assistance (get health)

- airport (fly to neighboring towns, this feature not done yet)

- observatory (comsat station, I want players to use this place to ping anywhere on the map to check it out for fun)

- 2 upgrade areas to upgrade terran infantry weps (for hero and mercs) and armor(for mercs), and zerg missile attacks and armor (for your lurker)

- day/night system (in the day you will gain gas due to solar energy, and at night your health will regenerate because the cool air soothes your wounds.

People have told me it is too complicating and I need to know the best ways to make it more user-friendly. So please check it out and look at the triggers if you want to. I am dedicated and good with triggers so long as I know what to do... I understand that the map is NOT done, I will add touches and bosses and story elements when I am done with the initial gameplay. Comments please!

FYI: To get out of buildings your civilian MUST be touching a white flag and your hero (kerrigan, raynor, montag) on the far right of the map MUST be touching the white flag too.

If you keep your hero (ker,ray,mon) on the white flag while outside of towns, you will not be able to join battles, this is for people who want to avoid battles.

In battles, you can escape by bringing your civ to the white flag beacon. Note that you lose 10 gas everytime you do this.

Sorry I can't play it right now cause I snuck out of bed to get on staredit.net but I will tomorrow. Just one thing, isn't randomly doing damage from 0 to 20 a little much? Seems like 5-10 would be better.

Forgot to mention that the observatory doesn't work... not sure how to give an addon to p7... o well sad.gif

I want the average damage you take in a battle to be around 10. If you add 20 + 0 and divide by 2 then the average is still 10, make sense. The other 2 numbers are 5 and 10 with divided by 2 is 7.5. So the number of damage you will usually take in battle will be 35/4 which is close to 8-9 damage. Of course this is completly random. Some battles you may take no damage, while you could die really fast in another battle...
