Is there a way to seperate burrowed units, so you can use them for a grid system?

You can move a unit that's burrowed and form whatever grid you need. I don't know how to let the trigger editor know that a unit is burrowed, though...

Just pre place the units i guess.... could u move from one area to another to make a 3x3 grid..?

Yes. In one map I made, I had a lurker boss move from one location to another while still burrowed. You can have the same burrowed units move around to different grids you have in different parts of the map.

You can make a grid with 9 1X1 locations, and have each of the burrowed units move there via trigger if you feel that you won't be able to place them perfectly in the editor. The triggers will space them perfectly in game if you have them teleported to their locations.
